Chapter Twenty

Blueth Mendoza's POV

"WAAAAAAAAHHH!!!"

Students were screaming and running as the monster wreaked havoc in the stadium, letting out a fearsome growl as it toppled over the bleachers.

"Blueth!? What's going on!? What's that thing!?" Rachelle asked as we were hiding behind a table that got toppled by the monster earlier. As soon as we saw that it was charging towards the bleachers, Rachelle and I quickly got down and hid behind toppled tables.

"I don't know! Does it look like I was the one who caused that thing to appear!? But whatever that thing is, we need to do something!"

"Do what!?" Rachelle looked at me as tears started forming around her eyes.

"Don't worry, I know exactly what to do in these types of situations!" I replied as I puffed out my chest, not that I have a chest or anything. Which is sad.

Ms. Val's POV

"I don't know Cathy, I think Blueth is starting to have feelings for that Rachelle girl. Not that I don't like the idea of her falling for someone of the same gender or anything, honestly speaking, I think it's cute, what I'm worried about is what people will think of them. I'm afraid that they'll get bullied or something. Don't you think so too?" I said as I looked over to Cathy only to find out that she was sleeping. "What the? Don't tell me that I have been opening up on what I am feeling and you have been sleeping this whole time!? Unbelievable."

I stood up and started poking her face with a stick I found lying on the floor. No matter how hard I poke her face, she doesn't wake up. I kept poking her face and still no response. "Okay, I don't know if you're a heavy sleeper or you're just pretending to be asleep so you won't have to hear me talk nonsense all night."

Cathy then started curling up into a ball, not paying attention to me.

"Ugh, I don't even know why I made you in the first place."

"Ms. Val!!!"

My attention shifted from Cathy when I heard Blueth's voice calling me. I was about to go outside to check on her because that's where her voice came from. I thought that she was in some sort of trouble so I quickly grabbed a stick and ran towards the door, not like a stick can help, but hey, a weapon is a weapon.

I was about to grab the handle of the door and go out to check on her but the door suddenly bursts open, hitting me on the head and knocking me to the ground.

"Gah!"

"Oh my gosh! Ms. Val!" Blueth rushed towards me as she hugged me. "I'm so sorry! I didn't know you were standing behind the door!"

"Ah, don't worry about it kiddo. Not like you could see what's behind doors or anything." I said as I hugged her back, ruffling her hair a little bit. "Now, what's all this about? Why are the two of you out of school? I thought Blueth said that no student is allowed to go home without letting the prom end? And why are both of you out of breath?"

Blueth stood up and looked at me. "Ms. Val! We need your help! Something bad is happening at school!"

"Something bad? What's happening so bad at your school which needs me to come and take care of it?" I stood up as I placed the stick on the table.

"It's not an ordinary 'something bad' situation Ms. Val! It's a big 'something bad' more specifically, a monster size bad."

"Monster size bad? What are you talking about? You're confusing me kid, I'm starting to get lost."

"There's a monster that appeared out of nowhere and is attacking the school for some reason, we need your help!" The Rachelle kid screamed at me. The way she screamed at me shocked me and made my eyes grow wide, no one ever screamed like that to me before.

I gave a little smile as I looked at her. She's a fierce little girl, I guess Blueth would be safe in her arms.

"Well, I don't know why you came running here, it's not like a little old lady which proofreads books can solve your monster problem."

"But Blueth said that you can do magic! She said that you can take care of the monster!"

I suddenly froze as I heard these words, my eyes widened at the thought that someone else knew about my magic, and no, I am not a witch, so don't expect to say that I'm a witch.

I quickly turned around and set my eyes on Blueth. "We are going to talk about this later, young lady!"

I am doing my best to keep my magic a secret, and all of a sudden, Blueth here goes around telling everybody about my magic! Well, I can't blame her really, hearing what just happened at their school, I would do the same thing.

I let out a sigh as I looked at them. "You two run along now, go back to the school, and make sure that both of you keep the monster inside the school at all times. Don't let it get out, or else it would be troublesome."

Both of them nodded and started running towards the school.

"Well, didn't think that the time would come for me to use that thing again. And for a monster, I didn't even create. What fun."

Blueth Mendoza's POV

"Hold that table right there!" Rachelle instructed me as she tied a knot to the door. I quickly did what she asked me to do and she started sliding towards the monster, tying its legs. After she tied its legs together, she started running towards me. She slid under the table, letting go of the string she had in hand. "Let go!" She yelled and I let go of the table, the then table went flying towards the monster.

"Woah." I said as I looked at her. How did that even happen? I didn't even see her tie any string or anything which could send it flying towards the monster like that.

"I can't believe you." Rachelle said as she tied her hair into a neat little bun.

"What do you mean?"

"You told me that you know what to do under these types of situations, but you just went and called your boss?"

"Well, that's what I do when faced with these types of situations! I call Ms. Val for help! What? You want me to take on that thing? These weak noodle arms can't even lift a bucket filled with water!"

"Look out!" Rachelle yelled as she grabbed my dress and pulled me down. The monster threw a table and it went flying over us.

"Well, this is a weird situation we are in." I said as I looked at Rachelle. She was lying on the ground with me on top of her, my arms and knees preventing me from falling on top of her.

Rachelle closed her eyes and suddenly, she kissed me on my lips. My eyes grew wider as I looked at her. I don't know what's happening, I feel like everything went black.

"Blueth!"

I heard Rachelle yell my name. I woke up and saw her kneeling beside my head. "Ugh, what happened?" I asked as I looked at her. My head hurts somehow.

"Blueth! Are you okay!?"

"Rachelle? What happened?"

"Oh Blueth, I'm sorry! I couldn't pull you out of the way in time, the table hit you and you got knocked out."

"Table?" Wait, I got knocked out? I started blushing as I remembered something. Did I had a dream where me and Rachelle were kissing!? "Gah!!!" I yelled as I covered my face, trying to forget about the dream.

"Blueth!? Oh no, we should get you somewhere safe."

As I kept trying to forget about the dream, I remembered another thing. "The monster!" I said as I quickly sat upright.

"Don't worry about it, someone came and they're taking care of it." Rachelle said as she picked me up bridal style. Wow, she's strong. "We need to get you to someplace safe." Rachelle said as she started running towards the door.

Before we got outside, I managed to see who Rachelle was talking about. I saw the monster was fighting someone, I couldn't tell who or what they were, but Rachelle was right, they were taking care of the monster.
