Epilogue

Blueth Mendoza's POV

"Blueth? Are you coming? My parents really want to meet you. Like, really really want to meet you. They keep asking me about you every time they get a chance." Rachelle asked as she looked at me. School just ended for the day and we're on our way home. It's been 5 months since Ms. Val left and lots of things have happened.

Rachelle found a loving and caring family. Well, they kind of found Rachelle. Rachelle was hired by a couple to look for their missing wedding ring and when they found out that Rachelle had no parents, they decided to adopt her.

"I'll catch up to you. There's something I want to do first." I said as I smiled at Rachelle.

"You're going to visit Ms. Val's house?" Rachelle asked as she placed her hands on my cheeks. I smiled as my way of responding to her question. Rachelle smiled back as she kissed my cheeks. "I'm sorry I can't go with you. My parents told me to come home early so I can help them prepare the house for your visit. But hey, after you come over later, I'll go with you so we can visit Ms. Val together, is that okay?"

"That'll be perfect."

Rachelle giggled as she kissed me on my cheeks again. "We'll wait for you okay? And don't be late!"

I let out a little laugh as I looked at her. "I won't"

Rachelle smiled and she started walking away. I smiled and started making my way towards Ms. Val's old house, well, our old house since I lived here for a big while.

"Hello?" I asked as I slowly opened the door of the house. Hoping that the scavengers haven't made a home in it. It was quiet inside and there seems to be no sign of light anywhere except for the light of the sun coming in through the windows and cracks on the walls. Ever since Ms. Val left, this place started taking in lots of dust. With no one taking care of it, dust and webs started forming inside. "Well, guess it's time to do some cleaning." I said as I grabbed the broom which was collecting dust in the corner of the room.

I started sweeping around but the dust was too thick. Even just the slightest movement of the broom makes the dust fly all over the place. "I should've cleaned this place before all this dust came in."

As I was sweeping, I accidentally hit my head on one of the shelves. And after my head got hit by the shelf, I received another hit from a book that fell from it. "Ack! Okay, okay. I received that for not cleaning the house."

As I rub the spot where my head got hit twice, I looked at the book which fell from the shelves and I noticed the cover looked familiar. I picked it up and blew away some of the dust on it. "Wait, isn't this...?"

My eyes widened as I figured out why the book cover looked familiar. I quickly opened it and I was right. It was Ms. Val's book. I smiled as I started hugging the book, tear flowing down my cheeks. I can't believe it. All this time, her book was here.

Valerie Books' POV

"Sir Trouchi Driki." "Sir Trouchi Driki." "Sir Trouchi Driki." "Sir Trouchi Driki." "Sir Trouchi Driki." "Sir Trouchi Driki." "Sir Trouchi Driki." "Sir Trouchi Driki." "Sir Trouchi Driki." The announcer repeated the name over and over again. I don't know how long it has been since I'm hearing that name! It's complete torture I tell you! Torture!

Ever since Raymund made me come back to this stupid place, that's the only sound I've been hearing.

"Ugh." I said as I looked at the chains wrapping around my arms.

I can escape if I wanted to, but since that Raymund wrapped these chains around my arms, my magic has been sealed away, making me magicless.

"Well, I'm glad that Blueth won't get into trouble because of me."

I sat around as I kept listening to the repeating of names. This is what I deserve. This is the punishment I deserve for leaving and for putting Blueth in danger, the kid nearly died because Raymund sent out one of his pets to get me.

"Sir Trouch---" The announcer suddenly stopped talking and it made me look at him. I don't know why he stopped talking, but the silence is music to my ears. I didn't even bother thinking why he stopped, I just sat back and relaxed as I enjoyed the silence.

As I was sitting down, enjoying the silence, this weird blue light started surrounding me. "Hey, what gives?"

I looked around and I saw that the blue light is also surrounding the people and also the castle. Then, the blue light started shining so bright that it filled the whole castle. The next thing I know, blue glitters are falling from the ceiling. The atmosphere inside the castle suddenly changed. What felt gray and moody is now filled with cheerful and colorful faces.

I looked at myself and I saw that I was wearing a gown. "Okay, what gives? Why am I in a gown? A dress is okay but a gown? No thanks!"

"Announcing the return of our King and Queen!" The announcer said as he rolled open a rolled-up paper. Wait, did he say, King and Queen?

The castle doors suddenly burst open and my eyes widened as tears started forming. "M-Mama...? Papa...?"

I quickly stood up and ran towards them. Hugging them tightly as tears started flowing down my cheeks.

"Val." My mother said as she let out a giggle, hugging me back

"I told you we'd come back." My father said as he hugged both me and my mother.

"You've grown so big! I missed you growing up!" My mother said as she started squeezing and pinching my cheeks, wiping away the tears which were flowing down my cheeks. "Dear! Look at how big our baby has grown! She grew up so beautiful!"

My father laughed as he started stopping my mother from squeezing my cheeks. "Dear, stop squeezing the cheeks of your daughter like that. You might pull off her skin or something."

My mother eventually stopped squeezing my cheeks as she took a step back. My cheeks have never been so red before my entire life! "I can't believe it. How?" I asked as I looked at them. My father smiled at me and placed his hand on my shoulder.

"Val, we knew everything. Your friend told us everything we need to know."

"My friend?"

My father smiled as he gestured me to look behind me. And there I saw the brightly glowing door on the walls. I looked back at my parents and they both gestured me to go through the door. I smiled at them and took my first step inside.

Blueth Mendoza's POV

"And, done." I said as I finished writing on Ms. Val's book. I noticed that the story ended with the suitor search Ms. Val was talking about. I don't know if that'll work or not, but I needed to try it.

As I sat quietly on the floor with my back against the wall, I noticed this bright light coming from my left. I looked over and my eyes started watering.

"Hello, Blueth."

I stood up and I smiled at her. "Hi, Ms. Val."
