CHAPTER 17

Y/N

That day was the day before the boy's interview. I wanted to see them, congratulate them and wish them luck. I cooked cookies in the morning as a surprise.

When I arrived, everyone was in the living room but Jin. He was on the kitchen, talking with a girl. I didn't know it yet, but she was blonde (of course I could see that the first time), pale skin and blue eyes, but a light blue.

I cleared my throat a little before entering.

"Oh. Good morning Y/n-ah, you're here." Jin said, approaching me with a smile. He hugged me.

"Good morning Jinnie." I said, hugging him back.

"Look Y/n, this is Samantha, the girl who will interview us tomorrow."

"Oh, hi, I'm Y/n, I'm a friend." I said, smiling. I didn't know what to do, I didn't like the way she was staring at me nor her vibes. I shook my head, I didn't even know her two minutes ago, maybe she was good.

"As Jin said, I'm Samantha, the interviewer." She said, touching her hair. I thought about shaking hands with her, but I was sure I would be the only one shaking it.

"Where I can put this?" I said, putting all my attention in the cookie's box.

"Give it to me, I'll put it-"

"No you can't. We were talking about something important, remember?" She said. "It's business, Jin."

"But it will only take a minute." Jin said, grabbing the box from my hands. I could see the 'I don't care' expression on Jin's eyes.

"Okay, okay, do whatever you want with the box. But you," She said, looking at me. "Go away, we're busy."

I looked at Jin, he was behind Samantha. He smiled at me, soft. "I'll see you later, Jin."

"I can't wait." He was still smiling before I left the kitchen.

I sat next to Hoseok.

"Hey Y/n, what was that?" He whispered.

"What was what?" I asked, looking at my feet.

"Are you okay? She was kinda rood with you." Indeed.

"Yes, I just will wait."

Samantha decided to eat dinner there, she was cooking with Jin in the kitchen, while I was in the garden with Hoseok and Jungkook. We could listen to their laughs.

"She's a little rude, isn't she?" Jungkook said, playing with the soft green floor.

"Just a little? She didn't even let me put the cookies in the kitchen. She's a witch." The three of us laughed.

"At first, I thought she was nice, I thought we were lucky, but not anymore." Hoseok said, lying on the floor. Jungkook and I joined.

"I'll spend time with Jin later. It's nothing." It really were, but my teenage heart was telling me other things.

"What's happening between you and Jin?" Jungkook said, with a flirty tone in his voice. I would hit him if Hoseok wasn't in the middle.

"Both of you know what you need to know." I said.

...

"No thank you, I don't want it." I said, looking at my hamburger in front of me. Samantha had the guts to put me a non vegetarian hamburger on my plate, even though I told her before dinner I was vegetarian.

"It won't kill you." She said. "I made it specially for you."

"When I said I was vegetarian. Do you even know what that word means?" I was so angry, I could tolerate a lot of things, but not this one. For me, this is a fault of respect. Why she couldn't accept I was vegetarian?

"Of course I know, I was vegetarian too, but I got tired of it, so probably you'll get tired, too." She said, like nothing. I couldn't believe it, that woman was worse than I expected.

"You don't get tired about these things, it doesn't work like that." I said, standing up.

"Y/n." I heard Taehyung call my name. I left.

I didn't go home, I sat on the floor, in  the boy's front yard. I looked at the sky, the stars were beautiful that night. That day wasn't as I imagined it would be, the boys weren't as comfortable as they're alone, of course. They needed to be BTS, be professional, they needed to give her a good impression. Nobody joked around the way we did it when nobody was watching.

"Lost in your thoughts?" I heard a voice behind me. Jin.

When I turned around to face him, he was already sitting next to me.

"Kinda." I said.

"Thank you for coming. It meant a lot for us." I laughed, they were interviewed often, it was nothing special. Maybe it was more important than the others, but Jin always found a way to dramatize everything.

"It was nothing Jin. How was your day?" I asked, we spent time in the same roof, but I didn't spend time with him at all, I cound't.

"It was okay. I don't understand yet why Samantha needed to talk to me, when Namjoon is the leader of the group. I know I'm the oldest, but that doesn't change anything."

"I think she likes you." I said. He laughed.

"Are you crazy? I know everyone can see my handsome face, but it's not like this. Anyway, he's talking with Namjoon now."

"Poor Joonie." I whispered.

"Um?"

"Nothing." I faked a smile.

"Well, how was your day?"

"It was... fine." It was weird, but the things would get weirder a few days later, but I didn't know about it yet, I'm glad I didn't.

"I'm sorry about what happened. I should have made your hamburger." Jin said.

"It's okay. I'm not hungry." I said.

"You sure?" Jin asked me. I smiled, but 'I have a plan' one.

"What are you thinking about?" He asked again.

"Do you trust me?" I looked at him, smiling.

"Yes, I do." He said.

"That's all I needed to know. Follow me."

I grabbed his hand, standing us up before we ran way from the house, from the world.
