CHAPTER 16

Y/N

The next morning my legs were killing me because of the long walk we did with Jin. After breakfast, when my mind was clear, I kept thinking about him. I hoped he was okay, I was worried he was still feeling emotional.

After lunch, I kept looking at my neighbour's house from my room's window. I was trying to read a book, but I couldn't pay attention to the words. While I was watching their house, playing with the pages of the book with my fingers, I saw Hoseok coming outside with Namjoon, they were with their bikes. I smiled at myself, Namjoon seemed so happy. When they were gone, I had an idea.

Yoongi opened the door. I spend a few minutes with him on the couch, talking as we usually did, but I was so tired to tease him that day and he noticed it. After a few minutes, Jin came from downstairs. He was wearing his pajamas on, I was sure he was as tired as I was.

"Hi Y/a, what are you doing here?" He asked me, when he sat on the sofa, next to me.

"I wanted to surprise you. Did it work?" I asked, tilting a bit my head, with a smile.

"Yes, it did. I thought you would spend all your day at home, resting."

"I was planing to do it, but I thought that come here and see you was a better option. You told me you like my company." I said, giggling.

"It's true, I like your it, I feel better now that you're here." I liked his, too. He smiled at me and, with that, a hundred butterflies in my stomach.

I spend all the afternoon there, we watched a movie in the living room, the rest of the boys joined, too. It was a calm day, the clouds made us company.

After dinner, Jin asked me to go outside with him, in the back yard. I agreed, grabbing his hand before we went outside.

We sat on the white bench, facing the pool, away from the glass door. The water was calm, just moving a little, caused because of the soft night wind, creating different forms in the water.

"Do you think there's another world like this, in another part of the universe? Another sun, another moon, more starts..." Jin said. I stopped following the water's forms with my eyes and looked at Jin, he was looking at the sky.

"I think there's something out there for sure. Don't you think it's impossible us being the only humans here? I believe there's something more. Somewhere." I said, looking at the full moon.

"I think the same. Do you think their life is like ours?" He said, still looking at the sky.

"I suppose. But, why are you asking me this?" I asked, scratching my head, softly.

"I like to talk about my thoughts with someone, you understand me Y/n, that's why I like to talk to you, it's so easy. I feel safe, in some way."

"I didn't know I'm all this to you, you're making me feel special." I said. He stared at me, I didn't know what to do, my hands stared getting sweaty. Did I say something wrong? Between my nerves, I wondered again why he did that, why he could spend seconds, even minutes, staring at me. Did he stare everyone like this?

"Why do you always stare at me?" I asked, looking at the pool again.

"I stare at the things that I found special, you're special and an interesting person." He said. "You give me positive energies whenever you're around me. That's one of the reasons why I like spending time with you." He said, looking at the pool, too.

"I like to spend time with you, too. You're funny, a great friend." I said, looking at him.

"You know that I think about you as a sister, right? I want to be your brother, too, someone with you can talk to." I only nodded, looking at my nails, trying to avoid the annoyance feeling on my chest after his words. Sister.

"Y/n can I ask you something?" He asked, again. I felt his eyes looking at me. I nodded, looking at the now fool moon covered in clouds all around it, but the light was still visible to my eyes.

"Will you miss me when I go back to Korea?" Of course I would. He was an important person to me, I didn't like to think about the end of the summer. The end of everything.

"Of course I will, but I don't like to think about it. Can we change the topic?" I said, looking at my feet. He said nothing.

We stayed in silence for a few minutes, enjoying our company, listening to the laugh of the boys inside the house and the night sounds.

"I think I didn't tell you this." Jin said, sitting properly on the bench, facing me. "We'll have an interview in a few weeks. It's for an important channel, we're so excited." He was smiling, I noticed he had more energy.

"I'm so glad. I hope everything goes well." I said.

"It will. We'll leave in the morning and we'll be back at night, we can't see each other, but we can talk the next day. Will you want to go somewhere?" He asked me.

"I don't know it yet, but I can tell you now that I don't want to go to the mountain again." We both laughed at the memory.

"I'll miss you, Y/n. Promise me we'll be in touch." He said, he was more serious now.

"I'll, I promise." I said. He hugged me, caressing my back with his hands, I hugged him tighter. We hugged each other for a while.

I felt drops of water in my head, we pulled apart, I looked at the sky. Indeed, was raining, but not heavily.

"I think it would be better if you go home now." He said. I stood up, ready to walk towards the door. "Wait." He said, grabbing my wrist. He pulled me close to him, he put his arms around my shoulder, suddenly the rain stoped. I looked up, I saw a jacket all over our heads. "Now we can go." Jin was always a gentleman.
