CHAPTER 27

Y/N

I was in my room with Taehyung and Yoongi. I stopped crying a while ago.

Taehyung wasn't aware about my feelings for Jin, but he already knew something happened to me, I didn't know if he conncted the dots or not.

"What happened? What were you crying earlier?" He asked me, frowning Before I could answer, he grabbed my hand. I looked at Yoongi.

"Do you want some tea? I'll be right back." He said. What I liked the most about Yoongi was how he could understand me with just a look.

"It's a long story," I started, "But please, don't ask me why I didn't tell you this sooner." He only nodded.

"It is because of Jin." He frowned even more. "I like him." I finished.

He stared at the floor for a second, I tilted my head, waiting for an answer. "Why didn't you tell me this sooner?" He said, incredulous.

"Taehyung."

"Sorry."

He went silent for a few seconds. "Okay, but what happened? It is all because of this?"

"No... It's because we aren't in good terms right now." I said, looking at my thighs and biting my lips out of nervousness.

"Why? You got into a fight?"

"No... not at all, I think. To be honest, I don't know what happened and when. I think it's because of Samantha, she changed him, she did something to him, I'm sure."

"Wait. Samantha, the interviewer?"

I looked at him.

"Yes, that-"

"Okay, okay. But- wait. That's why you dropped juice at her in the pool party?" He said, raising his eyebrows.

I let out a loud groan. "I don't remember almost anything about that night, I don't want to know it either. I really hate that party."

Taehyung put his hand in his chin, I saw he was thinking about something. For real. "When's the last day Seokjin hyung talk to you?"

I let out a sigh. "The day after the party."

He hummed. "That night, when you left crying after the mess you and Samantha did, I went with you. When I go back Jin hyung asked me if you were okay."

"And what did you say?" I asked, closing my fits tighter. I didn't like the suspense.

"I just shrugged. I assumed you wanted to be alone."

I faced-palm myself. "Do you know if he..." I couldn't finish the sentence, I felt tears filling up my eyes. Taehyung only hugged me.

I was glad I had him. I was glad I had my friends with me. After a few minutes Yoongi came back with the tea, which became slightly cold.

***

The next day I woke up with a strong arms embracing my waist. I smiled a little remembering it was Taehyung. He spent the night to make sure I was okay, or at least to have someone if I cried. I did. Yoongi came back home, but he promised he would visit me the next morning with Ashley.

I got up from the bed don't forgeting to put a pillow besides Taehyung's arms, he needed to hug something and I didn't want to woke him up, I figured out it was pretty early.

When I looked at the lock screen of my phone and I saw the hour, a wave of pain knocked into my heart. 8.00 am. I looked at the window. I remembered the day Seokjin came into my house, with breakfast. I remembered how I yelled at him due to the panic attack I was feeling because I was a mess. The only difference it was that day with Seokjin was sunny and warm. Today was cloudy and it looked a bit cold for summer.

Summer, it was already August. They would leave in a month. After a month it would be all over.

I went back downstairs, my parents and my sister were still sleeping. I liked it, I needed some time  alone, for me. When my bare feet touch the floor of the kitchen a wave of cold went up through my spine.

After I grabbed one of Taehyung's black jackets that looked like a hoodie I went straight to the kitchen for making my breakfast. I thought about cooking something different, something that contributed sweetness to my heart.

I opted for hot chocolate, but not that hot, with cream. After I finished the drink I cooked the toasts. When it was all placed to the kitchen island I grab the strawberry jam.

I took the opportunity to also make Taehyung's breakfast, I knew Taehyung like it. I wanted to thank him, I thought it was a nice act, he would appreciate it.

***

"Why we have to go there?" Taehyung was grabbing me for my wrist, walking towards the front house. His house.

"Yoongi and Ashley are already there. He texted me. Of course Ashley wouldn't" He said that last sentence in a whisper, but I could hear it. I smiled for a second, after I remember where we were going. When Taehyung was opening the door, I also remembered,

"Why they didn't text me? Ashley is my best friend." I reproach.

"Because we all know you would say no." He pushed me slowly inside the house, it was becoming the hell for me. A few days ago I wanted to talk to him, see him, but I changed my mind after our last conversation in the corridor.

But, oh well, the lucky wasn't on my side those days. When I arrived in the kitchen I made eye contact for a few seconds, but Hoseok's strong embrace cut it. I hugged him back.

"I didn't know you were coming. We're eating breakfast, do you want anything?" I shook my head.

"We already ate." Taehyung said, sitting besides Jimin and Jungkook, that were fighting over a pancake.

I smiled at Hoseok before sitting beside Ashley, trying to avoid looking at anyone in particular. I wasn't in the mood, the reason why I felt like shit was eating at the same table. Nobody seemed to notice the tension, but I did. Maybe he did it, too. I saw how he was beating his food pretty quickly, as if he wanted to calm his nerves. Why would he be nervous, though? The one without any answers of anything, the one with the broken heart was me, not him. He was the bad one. The villain.

Maybe the old magazines that I used to read in the hair salon out of boredom were true, all what men do is lie and break our hearts. I could feel it that time. I could feel it with Dylan.

"What do we do today?" Hoseok's eyes were shining out of emotion.

"We can call Zoe and Allison, maybe they want to come, too." Jungkook said, looking at Ashley and me, searching for answers.

"I'll send her a message." Ashley replied quickly.

"But we've to stay here, it will rain later."

"Perfect." Yoongi smiled.

"I prefer to go home." I whispered. I didn't want anyone to hear it, but at the same time I wanted.

"What did you say?" Jimin asked me. He was in front of me, looking at me with his dark eyes, but his soft smile.

"I want to go home."

"Why?" Taehyung asked. A few seconds later I thought he realised that almost everyone - for not saying everyone - knew about Seokjin's and I's problem, but they all acted dumb.

"I can make you a cup of tea, if you want." Jungkook asked me with his bunny smile. Cute.

"Maybe later Kookie, but thank you." I gave him my best smile.

"We can do karaoke." Seokin proposed.

Yoongi scratched his head. "Mmm, okay. But I'll only rap."

"You have to sing a song with me." Jimin pout, like a baby. "My heart will go on."

"The Titanic one?" Yoongi raised an eyebrow, I saw disgusting in his voice. Jimin nodded. "It's a... cute song, but I won't sing that with you Jimin."

Before Jimin could reply, Ashley said Allison and Zoe would be on their way there. They would arrive at 12.00 pm.

We all found our way to the living room, talking with each other. We sat on the sofas, Ashley was next to me, grabbing my hand. I turned my head a little, I saw Seokjin staring at me, but when he realized I was looking at him he looked at the ceiling. What was wrong with him?

"With who?" Jungkook asked me.

"Who who? What who?" I blinked a few times.

"You said 'What's wrong with him?'" I just stared at Jungkook, I didn't know what to say, but he was a smart boy, he understood.

Ding dong.

"They're here!" Jungkook exclaimed.

I looked at my watch. "It's not even 12.30." I frowned.

I saw how Namjoon gave a look at Seokjin.

Oh, NO.

"Hi Taehyungie." That voice. I felt like vomitating.

"What are you doing here?"

"I had a date with Jin, but because it's raining I thought I could come over." She said, with her horrible smile.

I looked out at the window. It was raining, indeed.

"Did you invited yourself here?" Yoongi was serious.

"I thought it wouldn't be a problem" She giggled.

Why I hated her laugh so much? Oh, I know.

I looked at her, I could notice my eyes full of hate.

Namjoon cleared his through before speaking. "Well, we wanted to have a day all together because we're friends."

"Perfect, then I can stay!" She said happily.

She was going to sit besides Hoseok, who was besides Ashley, but Taehyung grabbed her wrist before she could make another move.

"Friends, you're not our friend. Please, get out." Taehyung faked a smile, but it only lasted three seconds.

I couldn't help but look at Seokjin, his face wasn't showing any kind of emotion at all, I thought he would defend her. Try at least.

"Jin, please, say something. You're my friend."

Seokjin looked at all of us, then shrugged. "They don't want you here, I can do anything about it. Besides... uh, nothing."

"What were you gonna say Jinnie?" Namjoon put a hand on Seokjin's shoulder.

"As Namjoon-ah and Taehyungie said, it's a friend's day. No strangers, so please." Seokjin pointed at the door. I felt as my lips formed a little smile.

She looked at him in disbelief. "We'll talk later." She went out slapping the door.

Seokjin let out a giggle, I couldn't figure out why.
