Hoseok was smiling all the way back to the studio. His thoughts were running wild with a new concept for the movie. "We will win the awards this year, that is for sure."
He parked his car. He was in such a good mood that not even the smallest thing would destroy his excitement. He started whistling and made his way to the entrance, his eyes widened.
The numbers have dwindled since he left for his 'lunch break. He walked over to the table where the two security guards sat and chatted.
"What is happening here?" He asked in a curious tone.
The one on the right turned his attention on him. "Just like before, a girl came out of the building and told a few here what happened. If you ask me the boss man is scaring the girls."
Hoseok let out a snort. He would have to talk with Tae and Suga about this, Jin should not scare these poor girls or their movie might not go down in the 'Best Romance' category of the year.
"Thank you," Hoseok replied and continued past them and up the steps, through the entrance. He slightly jogged to the elevator. He pressed the UP button a few times and let out a snort.
He needed to get up there so he could give Jin a piece of his mind about scaring the ladies although he secretly wished that he would continue with it. It was not a good idea as his company already hung in the balance.
The elevator doors finally opened and he stepped inside. The doors closed, he stood there for a few seconds before realising that he had to press the button to go up. He took a deep breath. "Do not be hasty. Stay calm."
The doors opened and a girl who was crying rather loudly came running past him when he stepped out. 'Oh my god... What is Jin doing to these poor girls?'
He watched as the doors closed and he turned his attention back down the hall where Yoongi stood lazing against the wall with the clipboard hanging loosely in his hand. He was staring up at the ceiling. Hoseok approached him. "Would you mind if I go and watch what is happening inside?"
"Nope," Yoongi said bored and opened the door for Hoseok to enter.
The door behind Hoseok closed. Hoseok looked straight at Tae and mouthed. "Do not ask for the next person and where is he?"
Tae nodded and flicked his head slightly back towards the makeshift door where Jin was supposed to hide before Tae gave him the go-ahead. Hoseok stomped towards the door and peered around the corner. "Jin. We need to have a little talk."
Jin blinked once. "What about?"
Hoseok walked past the corner and stood before Jin. "What on earth are you doing?"
"Whatever could you mean?" Jin asked innocently while shrugging his shoulders.
"Do not start with your 'I am so innocent act.' You know perfectly well this is not how you treat women," Hoseok said harshly.
"Oh, please. I am trying to inspire them to think how they will react at that moment and quickly as they can." Jin snapped back.
"You are making them run in tears from this studio. Has it occur to you that they could damage your reputation?" Hoseok said and crossed his arms.
Jin's lips parted with a retort but Hoseok's words slowly sunk in. In fact, that did not cross his mind. He was so focused on scaring them a little to see what they were made of that he did not think about his or his company's reputation.
"They cannot call themselves actresses if they scare so easily," he replied cooly.
Hoseok sighed. "They are not professional actresses, Jin. That is one of the reasons why we are doing this. To find raw talent and save the company, that should be your number one priority."
How dare Hoseok bring that up? He knew that this was his last chance to save his company and what is left of his reputation. "What do you suggest?"
"Be less aggressive and do not make these poor girls cry," Hoseok replied and left Jin standing while his words sunk in.
Jin bit his lip. The truth was... He did not care for these girls and why should he? Minyu has left his heart in millions of pieces and now he chose to isolate his emotions. No, matter what happened... He was not going to lose the bet against Namjoon.
"Are you ready for the next girl?" Tae asked.
'Let them come.' Jin thought to himself. "Yes, I am ready."
They continued with the interviews. Jin promised Hoseok that he would be less aggressive but he succeeded in making a few more cry and one even cursed at him. Jin found it funny and they continued until they have interviewed the rest of the ladies that waited.
Jin was so exhausted that he sunk to his knees against the makeshift door. "Are we continuing tomorrow?"
"Yes," Tae replied. "I have told you that we have scheduled the whole week for interviews and Saturday would be the last day we will be interviewing."
Jin groaned and the door opened. Hoseok entered. "I had a fruitful day."
"So, easy for you to say," Jin replied sarcastically and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Jin... We talked about this," Hoseok snapped back.
"Gentlemen," Yoongi started. "Let us not fight. We have so much to do."
"Yoongi is right," Tae chimed in. "We have learned much from today."
Jin rolled his eyes. "And what might that be?"
"That this plan is going to work. I already have five new candidates that should come back to redo the whole interview."
The blood drained from Jin's face. Five? There were five candidates that Tae thought should come back? How was that even possible. He tried his best so that none of them should come back. He did not like most of the auditions anyway.
"Are you going to tell me who they might be?" Jin asked and focused on Tae.
"That we," Tae smirked. "Are going to have the best movie."
Jin's right eyebrow shot upwards. "How do you figure that?"
"Because we are going to have some raw and never before seen talent, my dear Jin-boss."
"That is right," Hoseok chimed in. "And I already started working on the new script for our movie."
"We got this, Jin," Yoongi said, "do not worry. We got you on this."
Jin's mouth played into a soft smile. He was giving them so much lip and yet they would be here until the end with him. A soft sigh escaped from his smiling lips, to think he would be returning home to an empty house.
He did not want the others to know that the break-up with Minyu had left him broken on the inside. Maybe... Maybe he needed to try and make their lives a bit easier by behaving around the interviewees.
"I am happy that you guys have my back."
"You do not have to thank us, Jin," They replied and grinned at him.
"Alright, then I will thank you once we get our movie up from the ground," Jin replied and walked to the door. "If all of you would excuse me... I think I should head home early."
"Good night," they hollered behind him.
When the door closed, Yoongi and Tae turned towards Hoseok. "Spill."
Hoseok shrugged at them. "Spill what?"
"You know perfectly well what," Tae said and folded his arms.
"Oh, about my lunch?" Hoseok said innocently.
"Just get it out already!" Yoongi said harshly.
"Very well. I will tell you," Hoseok replied with a huge grin.
