Liharen: Silence of the night

Leharin tilted his horse's head back. Approaching his mother's fine tallyho, he knocked on the window with a short black cane in his hand. Lady Hiravan twitched the slide-in window immediately and asked with disturbed eyes "anything happened my son?"

Leharin got a little astonished to see his mother in distressed condition. He lowered his head so to see Mabena as well. She was no less than his mother, drowned in her world. What made them look so panic was not a regular one, a malicious thought lingered in his head, could it be the queen's plot!

It was the first time that he found his mother petrified.

He answered in low voice, "I will say, but you tell me first, why are you so pale?" Lady Hiravan breathed deeply and resolved, "I have no idea my son and this is what bothers me. Now tell me, why are you behind the others?"
