They’re All Dead

Yun Tian's arrival and subsequent show of strength changed all of their thoughts and they all hesitated on what to do.

After killing the first expert, Yun Tian thought about immediately announcing Mu Wen's death by taking out her head and telling them all she was dead, but in the end he decided against it. He didn't want to scare them even more. If they all tried to run that would only make things more troublesome.

After all, he didn't plan on letting any of these people go. He had had enough of doing things the right way. He had seen so many people going after others merely because they were weaker. And many had even tried or successfully done it to him before.

'Should I just tell them what happened and let them go,' He struggled with this thought as it rolled around within his mind. He thought it would be the right thing to do. They should have nothing to do with Mu Wen and Gu Jie who started this and probably only intervened since they saw those of their town either dead or dying. But then rage and other emotions built up within him instead and overpowered these thoughts.

'Why should I? Why do I have to be a good guy? They hurt Bolin and the others! They wouldn't have done it if they knew the whole situation? So what!? The only reason they wouldn't have done it is that they would have known how strong I am. Not because they are good people. Even if there wasn't a Mu Wen or Gu Jie, if I showed my wealth in front of them without showing any strength they would try attacking us instead. So why shouldn't I just do what I want with them!?'

Reaching a decision, the killing intent rolling out from him almost doubled in intensity as he yelled, "Finish them off!"

With that the wolves exploded into action going after whoever was near them. They were full of anger at the people who were trying to kill them moments before. They had only stopped to wait and see what he would say. So, they couldn't be happier to hear what he said.

Their opponents were caught off guard since they were distracted by Yun Tian, but they reacted quickly and defended themselves. The wolves were reinvigorated by Yun Tian's appearance and their attacks were much deadlier now that they were able to let out their anger without worry.

After all, they were safe now. Yun Tian was there now and he would make sure they were safe. No enemies could harm them since he was there.

This was immediately proven true as he launched himself towards the other late stage expert Bolin was fighting before. He also happened to be one of the few surviving members of the Gu clan. So, he was painfully aware of Yun Tian's strength. In fact, he had tried to run away as soon as he saw Yun Tian's appearance. However, Yun Tian had only been thinking for a very short time in reality and then immediately caught up with him after his shout.

The man tried to block with his sword but Yun Tian's sword actually went right through the blade, cutting off his head in the process. His killing intent was at its peak at this moment as he attacked one of the people who had severely injured Bolin and he poured his full strength into that attack. That, along with his new sword made him able to slice his opponents mid spirit grade sword right in half.

Earlier, he had been able to only chip Gu Jie's blade as Gu Jie was able to support his blade with more and stronger qi along with his own attacks containing a lot of force.

Everyone around had almost no time to react to his great feat as he didn't stop even for a second and immediately turned and dashed to another late stage expert using his skill Fleeting Steps. The expert was distracted by one of the wolves and with Yun Tian's excellent use of Fleeting Step's stealth abilities and great speed, he was able to behead the expert without him even knowing how he died.

Those who were able to watch Yun Tian saw how he instantly killed two late stage experts and immediately joined the few of the Gu and Mu clan experts who were still alive and fleeing.

Deciding to go after the fastest first, he chased down the late stage expert of the Mu clan. As a late stage expert she was able to get farther than the rest and she even ditched any hope of looking backwards to try and stop attacks.

By putting all her focus and energy on going faster she managed to go faster than she ever had before, even faintly making a breakthrough with her movement technique, but she only managed to get seventy feet away when a blade silently claimed her life.

Afterwards, Yun Tian killed the rest who were running with a few quick turns and bursts of speed before going back to support the wolves in finishing off those still fighting them. They had already killed many, but he saw no reason to wait for them to handle it alone.

In the end, it was Yun Tian and the bloodied injured wolves standing in the middle of a circle of bodies extending a far distance. There were at least fifty of them and each of them used to be strong dantian building experts.

Other experts also showed up at this moment, but when they saw the many, many corpses, they dared not come any closer.

They only shouted angrily, "How dare you do this!? Where are Gu Jie and Mu Wen!?"

Yun Tian was annoyed and kind of wanted to immediately attack them, but he held back as they had not tried to attack him or done anything bad towards him yet.

So, he instead took out Mu Wen's head and held it up saying: "Dead!"

It was only one word combined with one action but it instantly shut them all up. They were relying on the fact that they didn't see the bodies of their town's two peak dantian building experts to threaten him, but seeing one of their heads instantly shut them up.

Except for one person that is, he managed to make out Gu Jie's dead body among the many lying there and yelled as he pointed, "Oh my god! Gu Jie is dead too!"
