"I'm taking a day off today and I'm fine don't worry". Jonakyn replied on the phone her cousin was asking why is she absent.

Jonakyn was at their house right now. Her lease on that boarding house has ended. She had no choice but to come back home to stay temporarily until she would find a place to stay.

Good thing her Mom and the family went on a vacation with her stepfather's parents they'll be gone for a month Giving her enough time to find a new bed spacer. Just like her friends who are also finding a new bed spacer.

" So quiet". She whispered while she's laying on her bed. She planned to take a day off at school so she coul9d relax. The past days have been too draining good thing she can just ask for notes about the lesson in her class.

It has been months since she came back to their house and it had been long since she had felt this comfort that no one would come hurt her.

Jonakyn looks around before she would always wish that they would notice her be proud of her and would love her. She was good at begging for people's attention.

But that was before, after doing everything for them to see her as a part of them eventually

Jonakyn got tired.

She stands up from laying on the bed and gets out of her room and starts roaming freely around the house.

She looked at those pictures hanging on the wall of the corridor she didn't see any of hers but instead it was put on those closed shelves on an old album inside an old box.

She can still remember that before it was her and her Mom's pic hanged and displayed along the corridors and top decks those cute beaming smiles of her were photographed on those photos.

But that was before her Stepfather came.

Jonakyn wipes her tears and continues roaming.

She then reaches her Art room, well before it was her Art room but looking at it now it was turned into a storage room. Jonakyn can still remember the reason why was it removed, just because they saw it as useless and a waste of space.

She continued roaming until she reaches the dining hall.

In this place Jonakyn could vividly see herself and her mother playing, she can still hear their laughter echoing on the house.

But everything faded as she wipes her tears away she laughs at herself.

"What a piece of shit". She cursed and start heading back to her room and stops reminiscing because it could never be back to how it was before.

After reaching her room she was slumped on the floor crying to herself. How could everything change in just a snap? Why thou people she cherishes would choose to leave her alone.

But she thought she was used to it but looking at herself now still crying. All her thoughts were wrong.

" it's early in the morning what am I doing?". She joked but deep inside Jonakyn know that in this silence and being alone she can't lie or hide the fact that she's still hurting.

She chose to always hide on a facade and just enclose herself alone setting on boundaries and walls with others. To save them from her, to keep them away from her.

She looks up and saw something shining on the top of her study table. A necklace, she stands and walks to take a closer look.

"What the ". She almost curses seeing that thing a silver necklace with a raindrop pendant.

She picks it up and tears start falling in her eyes again.

" if I was just strong enough before I would not have been able to hurt you". She whispered.

Jonakyn is not a fan of necklaces and other accessories that were precious to women her age, how could she be a girl who prefers everything simple unlike them.

But this necklace is something important to her, something that is a part of her and she can't have the strength to throw and hide it away.

"It must have been hard for you to meet me again treating me like a friend again after I hurt you stupidly". She whispered onto the necklace speaking to it like it's the person whom she wants to talk to and apologize again.

To that person who gives her the necklace.

Jonakyn was crying throughout the day she didn't even feel any hunger she was just pitying herself crying till her heart's content, crying till she fell asleep.

"Yes, Hello ". Lucas answered he was doing a check-up on his patient when his phone rang. It was his brother calling.

" Bro we need..can you please hold her steady ".

He heard his brother saying to someone on the phone and he can hear noises from the other line.

" Dale where are you? And what is that noise?". He questioned, he can hear him saying that they need to call someone.

" Bro she's awake". His brother replied still struggling about something.

"What do you mean?". He replied.

" I was just going to visit her but when I arrive here she was awake already was hurting herself". His brother replied.

The call was cut but he was frozen at the realization of what his brother just told him over the phone.

So it was her making that noise on the other line.

"Doc are you okay?". The nurse asked but he didn't glance at him instead he stormed off to the elevator ignoring the nurse calling him, the weird looks of the people around. He can't even feel anything right now.

After reaching the floor on which she has admitted the fast beating of his heart increases. His feet suddenly felt heavy and he was feeling like he would pass out anytime.

As he was getting closer he can hear a woman screaming or is it crying. He didn't know.

Every step he taking was getting heavy he was holding his breath until he reaches the door.

He was about to open it but his brother already did opening it from the inside. His brother was shocked but was able to compose himself as Lucas looked at him he looks disheveled.

" you go see it yourself maybe this is the reason why she was hiding this on every single one of us". His brother stated before he could ask him what had happened before gesturing him to get in.

The screams are now turned to cries and he can feel how hurtful it was. He slowly stepped in but before he could complete getting in she came running towards him.

"Who are you? Where's my mama? Let me OUTTT". She pleaded then shouted at him.

Her hair that he always comb was now disheveled, her face that he always adored was now crying in pain begging him to let her out.

" LET ME OUTTTT..PLEASEEEE".

Lucas was just standing stuck looking at her being drag by the nurse. He was dumbfounded didn't even realize he was now crying.

"Lucas". He didn't budge when his brother called him.

Stop crying there and go to her he hissed at himself but he can't even move a muscle. He felt drained all of a sudden seeing her with that hurtful emotion seeing her struggling begging him. It was agonizing.

"You've been hiding this all along, you've been fighting all alone ". He muttered losing all his strength to move and go to her.
