Chapter 20

"Um, lady Moriana." She said.

"Yes?"

"I really want to thank you for that one time. You know, for defending me at the tea party." She said embarrassedly.

'??'

"That was nothing. I just did that because I thought it was the right thing to do. Even if my reputation depends on it."

"Really. I'm very grateful of your actions. Here, it's a gift."

She handed me a cloth.

"I know it's not much but I made it from the bottom of my heart." She added.

It was a handkerchief. The Allisson household symbol was embroidered in it and my name was designed beside it.

It was very detailed and beautiful.

'Did she really become a fashion designer?'

"I heard that you made a dress for the princess in the neighboring kingdom. Is it true?"

"Ah, that was nothing. It was just my dream to be a fashion designer." She said while blushing.

'Aghh, how cute.'

We talked for a while and she was fun to talk to.

"I'll get going first lady Moriana. May Nirvana's blessing be upon you." She curtsied.

"Okay. Take care lady Stella."

I bid her goodbye as she rode the carriage.

Many things happened today.

I deserve a rest.

"Young miss, I already prepared your bed." Kelly said as ahe came running towards me.

"Alright."

I walked inside and finally arrived in my room.

"Good night to the two of you then." I said before I entered the room.

"Good night young miss/my lady." The two of them said simultaneously.

I nodded.

"Hahhh...it was a long day."

I can't believe I confronted the heroine like that.

But what I need right now is pure rest and sleep.

...

Today is another day.

I decided to go out and explore around the town.

I already finished reading the books last time. Maybe I need to look around the bookstore again.

"Young miss. Where are we going this time?" Kelly asked.

"Hmm, just wandering around the town I guess? And maybe visiting the bookstore again."

"Right young miss, there's another novel that I haven't told you yet."

"Ooh....tell me when we get there then."

"Alright." She replied.

We walked out of my room together.

"Let's get going Justin."

He just nodded and followed me directly.

We rode by the carriage and arrived there after ten minutes.

'Ah, there's the bookstore.'

I got off the carriage and walked towards it.

"Welcome." The person in charge said.

I nodded at him.

"Kelly, where's this book you've mentioned?" I whispered to her.

"It's called The Flowery Path of Love, young miss." She replied.

'What!? The Flowery Path of Love!? Oh my gosh, it has the same title of the book.'

"Oh! Here it is young miss." Kelly handed me the book.

'What the actual hell.'

The front cover is even the same.

"This one is so cool young miss. From what I read, the male lead has the same description of the crown prince. Sea-bluegreen eyes and obsidian hair." Kelly stated.

"What?"

"Yes. It's surprisingly the same. The name is different though." She added.

'I need to read it now.'

"Okay. Give me that. Look for some other books that has the same genre of his novel. I'll give you something in return."

"Right away young miss!" She ran off.

While Kelly was away, I started flipping the pages of the book.

I checked the first chapter and it went the exact way like the novel I've read.

The only difference was their names. But the description of the characters are very similar.

I then remembered what the Moriana in the world of souls said.

"The book you've read is nothing more than just a story."

Maybe she was talking about this book.

Now everything makes sense.

"Young miss! I've got everything you asked." She carried many books.

I returned the book on one of the shelves and left it there.

"Good. Now let's buy these."

"Yes young miss!"

We went out of the stores and I carried my books happily.

When suddenly, I bumped into someone.

"Euk-"

I looked at the person whom I bumped into and I was surprised at her appearance.

She was like a fairy- no, an angel even.

Silver platinum hair, eyes red as rose, porcelain skin and a perfect face.

'Is this this the definition of a perfect beauty?'

I stared at her for quite a while and realized my situation.

"Oh, I apologize for bumping into you." I said.

"No, it's fine." She replied.

'Oh my gosh, even her voice is beautiful.'

I was looking at her too much so I just nodded at her and ran off embarrassedly.

"Young miss!! Wait for me!!" I heard Kelly's shout from afar.

"Hahh...hah" Kelly panted.

"Why did you- hah, run young miss?" She said.

"Did you see the lady I bumped into earlier?" I asked.

"No, I was too busy chasing you." She added.

"...Alright. Let's go home for now."

At the Allisson estate....

"Okay, you can choose one Kelly."

I scattered the books that I bought earlier in my bed and let Kelly choose one as her reward.

"Hm, oh! This one young miss!" She said.

"What's it called?"

"Uh, I became the heroine."

"Okay, you can have that."

"Yayy! Thank you young miss! I'll go now then."

She left after she took the book.

I started organizing my books and read one in the time being.

...

*knock *knock

"My lady." Justin said.

"Yes?"

"It's time for dinner."

I looked outside and the sky was already dark.

I didn't realize that time passed by so quickly.

I guess reading really is a time passer.

I went to the dining area and ate with my parents.

"Anna, Duke Seymour gave me a letter for you. It came from his daughter, lady Sabrina." Dad said.

I received the letter and opened it.

I started reading its contents and discovered that it was an invitation for lady Sabrina's upcoming birthday.

"What is it about Anna?" Mom asked.

"It's an invitation from his daughter." I replied.

"Oh? When will it be held?" She asked.

"...The day after tomorrow." I said.

"Attend it then. We cannot simply refuse an invitation from a duke's daughter. Just take it easy." She said in a reassuring tone.

"Alright."
