Chapter 6: Chapter 6

INT: OLIVIA'S RESIDENCE – DAY.

Olivia's POV.

It's been three days since the night I was almost; r*ped by Freddy, kidnapped by monsters, and saved by my grandfather who also turned out to be a monster.

I didn't remember how he saved me, or how he chased the monsters away and rescued me but the fact remained the I didn't trust him again, he wasn't the man I thought he was.

For the past three days I stayed in my room keeping my distance from him, I hadn't slept or eaten anything. I hid a knife in my closet in case he tries to come closer or to kill me.

I brought out the knife, Why don't I just kill myself instead? I had nothing left. I couldn't run away or do anything. I was just a little scared girl trapped in the house with a monster who might kill me anytime from now.

"Olivia!" I heard my grandfather called as he approach the door.

I quickly hid the knife under my pillow.

The door opened and I saw him carrying a tray of food. My heart beats so fast that it threatens to pop out from my mouth.

He stares at me, then strolls to meet me at the bed.

"I'm not hungry." I snapped not wanting him to come closer.

He stared at me startled, he sighed.

"Olivia you haven't eaten for three days, you are gonna get lean and sick." He said in his usual soft tune so much in contrast to what he was that night.

I could smell the piece of toasted turkey, he really was a good cook I had to admit. Do I even know how to cook? He has been the one doing and taking care of stuff in the house. Sighs. So much for a monster. I'm famished.

"I'm fine,.... Just drop it on the table." I said firmly, not wanting to look hungry or interested in his food.

"O...k!" He said a little bit disappointed. I could see the hurt in his eyes that I was rejecting him.

Without saying anything, he dropped the tray on the table and left. The scent of the food was so enticing. My stomach groans at me in hunger wanting me to have a piece of his delicious meal.

Whatever! I gave in to the ugh, I took the tray back to my bed and started devouring the meal, it tasted so good.

"Olivia, I was wondering if you would like—" he interrupts himself.

I felt silly for not resisting the ugh to eat from his food, I was really hungry. I gulped down the food in my mouth without chewing. He did saw me eating too fast and hungrily.

He smiles. "I guess you were hungrier than you thought."

I nodded awkwardly.

He strolls to meet me on the bed, but I shifted away as fast as I could. I eventually came to the edge of the bed that I felt I could fall over if the wind blows.

He sat down. "Don't fall over." He warned but I stared at him indifferently.

Drake's POV.

Olivia was scared of him now, she probably thinks he's a monster. If only there was a suitable way to explain this to her. He hated the way she stared at him now, all he could see and feel on her was fear.

"You're probably scared of me. Aren't you?" He said calmly.

I nodded my head.

"You have right to be scared Olivia. But you shouldn't be scared of me, I won't hurt you." He assured me.

"What are you?" I said more in a whisper.

"I'm a cat." He said.

A gasps escaped my lips.

"And so are you. See? We are the same." He said.

I frowned. "Are you saying 'I'm a monster', like you?" I asked.

"We are not monsters Olivia, it's just who we are. It's part of us and you can't run from it." He said.

I sighed. At least now I know why I feel so wierd sometimes, I wasn't human, and that explains why those other monsters were referring to me as cat. Lord!"

"Have you ever wondered; Why you can see so clearly in the dark while others can't, or Why you can smell things that people can't, and hear things from afar." He said answering my unsaid questions.

I nodded, I wasn't in the right mood to say anything. I was speechless.

"It's one of your abilities Olivia." He snapped.

I sighed. "Are the other monsters cats too." I asked.

My Grandfather frowned."No, they are werewolves." He said.

"What do they want with me?" I asked childishly.

"They want your blood." He snapped.

A gasps escape my lips. "My blood. " I muttered to myself.

"Let me tell you a story Olivia." My grandfather said pulling me from the edge of the bed to himself.

I succumbed. If we were of the same kind there was no need to fear him. Stupid me! How could I have been scared of him, he saved my life and besides he was the one who raised me. He probably had a lot of time to kill me if he wanted, But he didn't.

My grandfather told me everything about my past; he told me about my parents and how they were killed by werewolves when they tried to protect me, he also told me that I was a special kind of cat which was born every 100 years, he said that the alpha wolves and vampires drank our blood and ate us Xphynx cats to gain power and prolong their lives. He told me that I was the last Xphynx cat and the alpha wolf 'Metal Claws' wanted my blood.

I sighed. I didn't know what to do, I felt like I was being tore apart. For once in my life I felt like everything was falling into place. Now this? I felt like crying.

"Olivia!" He called softly.

I stared at him, I couldn't help but love him more. He risked his life to save and protect me. At least now I know why he turned out to be so young unlike my friends grandparents who seemed to be so old and lazy.

"Ethan is a werewolf." He said calmly.

I gasps heavily. "No, it can't be." I muttered.

"He is an alpha wolf, that's why I didn't want you going close to him, or trusting him." He said.

I stared at him, I didn't know whether to believe him or not.

"Metal Claws is Ethan's father." He said firmly.

He sighed. "Ethan tried to kill you when you were little."
