Sue watched the mixed group pass by for a few hours. She saw those creatures from earlier and what they did to that Casalyian she shivered lightly. Only the wings left behind. It was decided that the best option would be to keep moving. There was limited space for the older adults in the vehicles. Still a large mass of vulnerable people waiting to be targeted existed.
Sue drew her knees up to her chest. Her elbows on the outside squeezing her legs together while her fingers reached her chin.
A dark aura sprung from under her. A few people screamed. There seemed to also be awe-struck onlookers.
A face emerged from the rock. Valor eyed the people, snorted, and retreated into the rock. He materialized again his head behind Sue. He kept the rest of his body in the shadows. “To open," he growled.
Sue thoughtlessly nodded. “Hmmm?”
“Can’t the Casalyians shield the entire line? This does not seem productive. Everyone is a target, especially the elderly," said Valor.
