Valre spoke up. “Something has happened with the primary group.”
“How can you tell maybe they just want to abandon us here?” Mel Scoffed and folded his arms.
The robots chatted amongst themselves.
Tim’s electronic eyebrows raised and tilted toward a wrinkled space before his nose. “Did something happen?”
Golhre snapped. His lips stretched, revealing rounded, sharpened teeth. “Those who engage with the wild have a greater understanding than us.”
“Then she should take us with her,” Mel snapped.
“There is no time.” Valre closed his eyes. “We will only impede the wolf-woman.”
Crystal closed her eyes and summoned her armor.
The robots reacted with surprise again. Their processors still trying to make sense of it. This time they scanned her.
Mel stomped his foot. “I can’t be left here. I got people. I need to be present if something happens.”
