The Roman Empire

ROME 1677...

The holy Roman empire, deemed one of the most mighty of all empires on Earth, ever since winterbourne made Rome groan, they have been brutal towards other empires, and expanded their territory around and beyond the Mediterranean Sea, a monarchy ruled by king Urellius the second,

Urelluis sat on his throne, arms on his jaws, and one of his leg placed over the hand of his throne, he was straddled about the throne, searching through his thoughts how to strengthen Rome once again, to be more powerful than the british Empire,

After the triple decade warfare, widely called conflictu dominatum by the Romans, the Romans had borne resents and malice against Britian, after winterbourne showed the Roman empire no mercy, and made the capital Rome groan in agony, at that year dead bodies were seen more than the living,

Such an event cant be forgotten with time, for an empire as prideful as Rome, it is unforgettable.

Emperor Urellius the third, swore to requite, by spilling the British men's blood, before his reign comes to an end.

It was midnight at eleven o'clock, and Urellius was alone in the palace, it's been long since his reign, and he has done just little towards strengthening the empire, many talented crafts-men, blacksmith, and engineers died during the triple decade warfare, most couldn't pass down their hand work to the young, only but a few in Rome still knew about crafting, blacksmithing, and engineering, it would take Urellius and the Romans many years to build enough arms and ships for a fleet with those few young who knew about crafting, and engineering.

It gave the king nights without rest,

"My Lord, lady Veronica walked into the palace, she had been alone in bed for many hours, yet his husband Urellius haven't come to bed.

You been up for hours now, sleepless nights can get you Ill.'' Veronica strained.

Urelluis didn't utter a word to her, he stayed the way he was listening to Veronica's grievance,

You are showing excessive concern towards revenging Britian,

Yet nothing had been done, I urge you to let it go, and focus on developing our Empire." Veronica said,

Her words stirred up anger in the already iritable emperor, "surcrease from those carwodly words of yours." The emperor said.

"My Lord." Veronica said , she placed her hand on her chest, she barely believed Urellius would be so harsh to her, it has never happened before, to Veronica, it revealed Urellius's desperation.

"Those British men spilled our fore fathers blood, without mercy, Urellius said.

They showed no mercy to their innocent souls, Urellius brought down his leg hung on the hand of his throne.

Their souls cry to me every night, I can hear them cry, saying, avenge us Urellius." His eyes bulged he glanced around, like a retard under some spell, those behaviours scared Veronica, her breathing became very deep. proclivity and revenge had shrouded his husband.

"You have changed Urelluis, I doubt it was you who I said yes to, at the alter before the bishop." Veronica said.

"You don't know what it means be an emperor, my lady,

And I will not have a conversation with you on that, leave me be my lady, I need some time alone." Urelluis said.

Tears fell from Veronica's eyes, sadness, sorrow discontent all meddled in her heart,

"I don't know what you have turned into." Veronica cried out, and scurried out of the palace, while covering her face with her hands.

Urellius reclined to his throne, he wouldn't prioritize Veronica's happiness over carrying out his agenda, for Veronica never knew what it meant to be an emperor, she cared more about the family then the entire kingdom.

MOMENTS LATER.....

Urellius fell asleep on his throne, after many sessions of depressing thoughts,

"Urellius," a voice called from nowhere, with a smokey tone, that wasn't loud enough to wake the emperor up, it rattled his sleep, Urellius did a few trashing motions in response to the call.

"Urelluis," the mysterious voice called again, it went direct to Urellius's ears, he opened his eyes, still drowsy with sleep, he came out of a lull with shilly- shally motions, he glanced around with a half opened eye, he thought he heard his name, but couldn't find anyone with him in the palace.

"Urellius." The voice snapped his name, before he could fall back to sleep, Urellius swiped his Pam over his face, to put out his sleepy mood.

He glanced around sprightly, but saw no one, Urellius stood from his throne and twisted his view around the soroundings of the palace, he was struck with little fear given a mysterious voice calls him name.

When Urellius turned back to his throne, he found someone sitting on it, Cornelius Caesar, deemed one of the greatest Emperors to have ruled the Roman empire,

"Caesar!" Urelluis exclaimed, he gave a slight bow to him, feeling honoured to have a visit from someone as great as Caesar.

"Am surprised Urellius," Caesar said, he perched his hands on his jaws, a familiar of his behaviours,

"About what my Lord?" Urellius asked staying humble before him, his two hands placed together below his belts, and feeling menial before him.

"That you haven't doubted it is truly me, Caesar." Caesar said.

"I have see this event in my dreams every night,

It is barely a surprise to me." Urelluis replied boldly,

Caesar stretched out his lips wide a little, he wiggled his fingers another of his familiar gestures, those kept proving to Urellius, it was truly Caesar, and he has come back from the dead.

"But my Lord, why the sudden visit?" Urelluis asked softly.

"I was expecting that question, Caesar looked up to Urelluis,

I know your worries Urelluis, you seek to avenge the death of your fore-fathers." Caesar said, a pinpoint of Urellius's obsession

"Yes I do my Lord." Urelluis said, he opened his eyes wide, seeking to hear what Caesar would say about his plans, will he offer help, or will he tell me to let go of it - Urellius thought.

"I might have died long ago, but my spirit still roams about this land, protecting it from dark forces.

And stoping dark kingdoms from prevailing against it. Caesar stood up and walked to Urellius, Caesar dipped his hands into his pocket and brought out a map, he handed it to Urellius.

This map is the road to power, a city full of gold, brass, titanium and metallic ores, with that we could build the strongest sieges, the sharpest blades, the strongest armours, and most damaging catapults.

Our fleets shall be so strong and very prevalent in the seas, with that we could bring down the british Empire to rubbles." Caesar said,

Those words had Urellius drowning in a world of Oblivion, imagining the sort of harm he could bring upon the british Empire, their kingdom brought down to rubbles, their men as slaves, their women as servants, their children orphans, and the bloods of their soldiers shall be wasted in the river, Britain will be filled with Demise.

After a while, Urellius looked to ask Caesar a question, and he was gone, Urellius glanced around, but couldn't find any trace of Caesar, he had disappeared.
