The Roman Empire 2

6:00am in The Morning.

Urellius laid on his bed asleep, series of confronts from Veronica couldn't make him to sleep last night, but after his encounter with Cornelius Caesar that night, and fruitful conversations with him, had Urellius in a state contentment, his plan was lauded by Caesar, he has stepped a foot towards requiting what was done to his fore fathers by the british men, for the first time in many nights, the smokey voices of dead souls ceased from speaking to him, and he was able to fall asleep.

Rough snores sang in the royal Chambers where Urellius was asleep with his wife Veronica, the screeching sounds, too loud to be borne, forced Veronica out of sleep, "oh Lord." Veronica mumbled whilst tossing side to side on the bird, Veronica came to a sitting position, her motions were trashy for she was still drowsy a little, Veronica looked by her side, Urellius laid beside her, "so he later came to bed." She said to her self in a low tone, she shook her head mocking Urellius's stubborn attitude, Veronica expected Urellius to stay stubborn till the end, his spirit might be willing but his flesh is too weak - Veronica thought.

She took away the blankets cloaking her leg and hopped down from the bed, Veronica traipsed to the wardrobe, she rummaged in a collection of clothes in there seeking to find a robe to cover her faint night skinny gown, all that produced rustles and scuffles which jarred Urellius's peace.

Urellius brought his face making indistinct utterances, the words he spoke weren't actual words, but sounded like mumble, like a complain,

having to hear Veronica's scuffling feet, and rustles forced him out of sleep, Veronica turned to Urellius, she thought she heard his voice, Urellius was trashing around on the bed with a frown on his face, he came to laying up side down after trashing on the bed,

"Why later made you come to bed?." Veronica asked, standing before the mirror near their bed, she had two robes in her hand one red the other ox blood, making comparisons the one which befits her mood, the day, the occasion of the day and a lot more she considers.

Urellius opened his eyes, Veronica might think I yielded to her selfish request to I forfeit avenging our ancestors - Urellius said in his mind, he hung his head on his molded hands, smirking and starring at Veronica.

"Why the mysterious smile?" Veronica asked, she haven't seen one from him in weeks, and she called it mysterious, she dropped her robe and sat on the bed with Urellius.

Urellius dipped his hands under the pillow and brought a map out of it, "what is that?" Veronica asked with a mow.

Urellius didn't reply at the moment, he stood up and spread the map along , " behold, he said.

The road to greatest."

Veronica chuckled, "how has this map, the road to greatness?"j Veronica asked - thinking it was one of Urellius's shallow ideas about bringing down the British Empire,

"This map shows the way to the mythical city of gold." Urellius said.

Veronica cleared his throat ,"I love that the word mythical exists in what you said."

"But this map proves it does exist." Urellius said.

"What?, The golden city." Veronica asked, dragging her eye lashes up, a gesture that showed she wasn't into what Urellius was expounding to her.

"Yes, it's real." Urellius said with a smiley face.

Veronica puffed, and shook her head a little, all that Urellius said sounded like words from a numskull, could it be that sleepless nights had given him a child like mind - Veronica thought, he now believes in stupid myths and fantasies.

"Just get some sleep Urellius, you must be stressed out. Veronica said,

"What do you mean I am stressed out?" Urellius asked.

"Stress and desperation could cause us to think and believe the unusual. She said, Charles laid fierce stares at her.

"Don't stare at me that way, Veronica said.

I mean, has desperation gotten you into believing In myths." She said and laughed whilst perching her hands on her fore head, Urellius only stood and stared.

"How could you believe you can go to a land, that it's road is unbeknown to all for millions of years, Veronica said.

By the way, where did you get that map from?" She squinted so as to show her dissaproval.

"Mock my words when i say, Urellius said, he brought up the map before his face.

Cornelius Caesar gave the map to me."

"A dead man gave you that map?." Veronica asked, with her gestures shrouded with mockery, she was moved to laughter for a while given Urellius's reply, deserving of her mockery, Urellius loved Veronica very much, and partly, its the reason he hasn't punished Veronica for the disdain she's shown him.

Most Emperors put perceptible demarcations between him and his spouse, they make their spouse bow to them like peasants and other menial people do, they are made to see their husbands as a God deserving of all the respect just like everyone else does, whatever he says is final and his spouse cannot object to it, but Urellius loved Veronica so much, he didn't make their marriage be that way, rather, he made Veronica to be close to him, every secret is shareable, and every command she can object to it, and he never made her to be servile to him like everyone else in the kingdom, she deprived no rights from her.

many years of living with Urellius that way had given Veronica the right to condemn every idea Urellius has that are contrary to her own ideas and wants.

"Your words might matter to me in every respect, but it wont concerning this" Urellius said and had Veronica seeing his back,

"Um, where are you going?" Veronica asked, she stood up with her hand in a position of grip, her looks were fierce, like she was going to stop Urellius from leaving the royal Chambers.

"Am summoning the Senate, and I will bring this idea to them for approval," Urellius said.

"What?.

You can't bring such stupid ideas to the Senate." Veronica argued.

"Call it whatever you want." Urellius said, and left the royal Chambers with spright steps.

Veronica didn't go after him, part of her was assured the Senate would compass Urellius's ideas as insignificant, the Emperor's of their tertrachial society wouldn't be impressed given the type of idea Urellius could bring to the Senate - Veronica thought.

"Maybe when he gets disgraced before the Senate, he will get back to his senses," Veronica whispered to herself, she has her own desperation hers bring forth shenanigans unlike Urellius who's own brings him ideas.
