Òkúdù [June] is a climax cum didactic play which centres on social evils. In this great book, falsehood and arbitrary use of power were condemned.

The play is basically reformed to cut-across happenings in underdeveloped and developed societies.

JUNE (Òkúdù, A Play)

The scene is set in the NYSC orientation camp, Darka. The wind of a summer Abuja morning bellows with gentility. Corpers from different part of the country are walking past. It's time for the distribution of posting letters. 


TEAM ASABA: Here we are (They marched in, nicely dressed) 


OFFICER 2: Are you guys aware that you'll be receiving your letters today? 


OFFICIAL 1: ( Scours his table for their slips and hands them over)....... Save this! You all are to report to the organisations with immediate effect? 


OFFICIAL 2: Go to the reception lodge to sign on the face of the envelopes, please. Good luck as you go! 


JOY: Sincere appreciations, ma. We promise not to disappoint you 


ABDULLAH: Da yardar Allah na musamman!...... We're indeed grateful
