Forty-seven: Separate Lives

Ovido Heights

(Dina's House)

Krista's pov

We arrived back home without so much fuss. Some of Dina's friends came over to update her about some gossip and it gave me time to be alone.

My room was untouched, save for the empty laundry basket. Oogy and I slumped on the bed. The luggages will have to wait. The place was so quiet that I could hear my heart beating slowly. I felt Oogy's head pressed against my shoulder, I turned my head and ruffled his fur.

"You okay bud?"

He whined and blew a deep sigh right at my face. I smiled, "You want to run, hmmm?"

When heard the word "run" his ears perked up. I looked outside and saw it was almost sunset and the weather wasn't very hot. We can do half an hour and Dina wouldn't even notice. I jumped off the bed and put on my running shoes.

"Let's rest for a bit Oogy..." I said breathless after a few minutes of running.
