Chapter 4 - You really thought I would love you ?
Viveria couldn't believe that every movie and drama she had watched was literally coming to life. It was Xavier who was standing in front of her , saving her from Rosie. Is she dreaming ? Or is this the beginning of a love story?
Breaking from her chain of thought, she watched Xavier turn towards her , she felt her palms sweating, feeling his eyes on her, it's a feeling she wants to cherish for a life time.
Xavier: You know what, can you please just apologize? Beg if required and just not create a scene at someone else's party? Hey you, Viveria right? I'm talking to you...
Viveria couldn't believe what she had just heard...: I..I... I was saying.. I I am ..
Dew ( stepping in front of Viveria, facing Xavier) : What the fuck dude?? What did you just say to her???
Viveria trying to say something but miserably failing. What was wrong with her ,she is supposed to fight right? To herself ( But Xavier I'm not wrong , you just protected me, how can you say this to me??) . If only the words could be said by her.
Xavier: Listen Dude, I'm so not interested in whatever is going on but I really hate cat fights , so can all of you just cut it off... plus who told her to come that too like this to my party? She should just stick to her books and her achievements, she isn't meant for fun. Such a shame, such a spoil sport.
Daniel : Can we just go back to the part where you and Rosie are the ones who are being the assholes ? Yes, she sticks to her books so what? You really think that this money on which you are thriving is earned just like that? You think you get the right to bully someone just because they don't fit in? Suddenly Xavier felt his cheeks burning with the slap he had just received. Turning around he was about to slap back when he saw it was Viveria who had slapped him. Tears were streaming down her face, her eyes expressing too much pain which was obviously something Xavier couldn't help but notice.
Viveria: I'm sorry for spoiling your party, I'm sorry that I was clumsy enough to drop my drink on your guest, I'm sorry for not dressing up like other girls. But you know what I'm not sorry for? I'm not sorry for being ME. I'm definitely not sorry for never dating a guy and I'm really not sorry for the poor lack of humility which people forget and shrug off just because they can get away with it at a stupid party. You are right. I'm a 21st century girl, I'm ambitious, I'm proud of my achievements, I'm proud I have friends who stand up for me. I'm proud that at least I don't hurt others to satisfy my ego and to make me look cool. You know what Xavier? It's ok that you don't like me or even consider me human but still thank you for saving me from getting drenched in wine. So as a token of my gratitude....
Viveria took a glass of wine and poured it all over herself.. : Now, we are even. ( to Xavier)
Just as everyone thought the show was over, Viveria took another glass of wine pretending like she was gonna throw it on Rosie, but actually she threw it on Xavier!
Viveria: And this is for insulting me and every other girl who doesn't meet up to your standard!
Saying this she walked away followed by Daniel , who literally gave a charming smile to Xavier and Dew who was bursting out of pride. However Dew did come back, took Mellisa 's hand and then again walked away.
Rosie was just about to touch Xavier's face when Xavier jerked off her hand and walked upstairs, but before entering to his room : Let's not stop the music, my party is still on.. so everyone just enjoy ..
As he walked back to his room and closed the door, Xavier felt his tears streaming down his face. What had he just said? Did he even mean any of it? He had never treated any girl like this before. Then why did he lose his cool for Viveria? Was it because he hates her? Or is it because he hates himself?
Viveria who was walking through the street, just stopped , felt her whole world spinning. Did she just throw wine on the guy she liked? Why does she still feel like Xavier isn't a bad guy? Even though he said those words, why is it that her heart is so easily forgiving him? But then her self respect is also fighting with her to not give in.
Is it because she is in love or is it because deep down she knows that though she has it all , it is true that she needs someone to just love her?
Should she be desperate or does luck hold other plans for her?
