Darren and Derek spent the rest of the afternoon talking. By the time they finished their meal, they noticed a few hours had passed as shown by the slowly setting sun. The majority of the teens in the park had left. It was about time to return to Alms as well.
"We should head back, now," Darren said.
Derek paused for a moment. He then stood up on the bleachers and said, "Yeah, ok."
Darren picked up the boxes and trash from their food. He put the trash in the garbage bin along the race track.
"Hey, mister, what's your name?"
"I'm Darren Kershaw. You can just call me Darren."
"So Isabella also took you in?"
"Yeah. My friend and I were in Isabella's first wave of kids when she started the orphanage."
