Chapter Two

Together with her roommate, who had since become a friend, Hadizah entered the spacious hall where everyone else was waiting. The large hall could accommodate three thousand people. Teenagers like Hadizah and her friends were among those present. They all knew each other really well. Since they had lived on the island since they were young, it was only natural that they were accepting of one another. There were fourteen boys and fourteen girls standing in a straight line in the hallway. In the hallway, the girls were on the right side and the boys were on the left. The same round neck, carton color, and brown shorts that Hadizah was wearing were also on them. They were all wearing hand towels around their necks and each was holding a jar filled with water. They nearly all showed up at the same time. They were all standing upright, each with a hand at their side as they turned to face the front. They were afraid to look at or speak to one another. You will spend the night in jail if you do this. The regulations on the island were exceedingly tight, and it was expected that everyone abided by them or faced the death penalty. They were all waiting for their tutor, known to them all as Sir Sam. Every teenager was on high alert when it came to themselves. Nobody wanted to earn his disapproval. Everyone should avoid it like the plague, everyone. A man with a scar on his face and a wide chest entered, frowning. His left eye, his nose, and his right cheek were all bordered by the scar. He had a tiny beard and a moustache. He was dressed in a black, armless top, black slacks, a black sunshade, and a face hat. He passed through their midst to make sure everyone was carrying what they needed. He appeared to be thanking them by nodding his head in agreement.

He said, in his husky voice, "Good morning, everyone."

Everyone simultaneously said, "Good morning, sir."

"This morning, before we head to your courses, we will jog around the field ten times. As you are aware, we are getting ready for your first task, for which I'm sure each of you has been preparing as well. I don't want you to let things slide. Does everyone understand?" He prompted them. He had already positioned himself at the front of the stage, where the teenagers could see him easily. They all replied, "Yes sir," maintaining their composure the entire time. Despite the fact that their first mission is new to them, they remained emotionless. They've been taught to hide their emotions so no one will notice, and the news doesn't bother them because so much has already happened to them. "That's great. During breakfast, the lady will speak to you so that you are adequately informed about your objective." he announced. Everyone among them, including Sir Sam, banged their legs on the ground while yelling "Attention." He shouted at the top of his lungs, "At the count of three, each of you should go out of the hall and begin your daily workout." "One, Two, Three, please!" As they all left the hallway to begin their regular workout, he counted them all. This is an ocean-encircled island made of water. In this location, kids were trained for assassin jobs. They put a lot of effort into training these youngsters so they can excel at what they do. The teenagers were unsure of their arrival time and method. They thought that this was their home and that there was nowhere else to go. They used to number fifty, but due to daily deaths, their numbers have decreased. This was an island ruled by a fierce woman named Sonia, who was in her forties but appeared to be twenty years old. Everyone refered to her as the lady or her highness. She was a very real threat to everyone on the island. No one had ever managed to leave the location; all those who attempted to failed or are deceased. Hadizah had already run more than six times, leaving her with four more. "What sort of garbage is all of this? Why, in fact, would we be jogging ten times in the morning? In the stomach, nothing. If it weren't for their consideration, we would have had to jog around ten times before they would have let us finish in the usual amount of time. We still have some dull classes to go to. Such a life." In her head, Hadizah was yelling. Then a boy waved at Hadizah, who had curly hair, a round face, a flat nose, was a little taller than Hadizah, and had a dimple. He had been a buddy of hers since they were little. However, they were no longer close. He goes by Joel. As soon as he arrived at her side, he said, "Hey." "What a wonderful morning", Hadizah said. Considering that he never greets people first.

"Oh, this is your sacarsm, you. Don't start talking about how lucky you were this morning since someone else welcomed you," he said, but none of them stopped jogging."

He praised her and said, "I see you finally made it to these last few weeks. You are a brave girl after all."

"I'm incredibly fortunate in that regard." She sounded terrified and said, "I believed I would perish in the previous open fire. I want to erase that recollection from my brain because there's nothing too pleasant about it. A battle between two kids who perform poorly academically always took place at an event called "Open Fire." The final three survivors would be left alone. She stated, reflecting on the recent week's bloodshed, "I hope that will be the last." He wished, "I too." Each was silent, absorbed in their own thoughts. After a few minutes had gone by, Joel remarked, "I heard that Tina majors in hacking."

"Why don't you ask her there? That's Tina." Hadizah gave a sarcastic response. indicating Tina's direction, where she was speaking with Isabelle, her second roommate, as they were both out jogging.

He said, "You are a joy killer", and gave her a lethal stare. "You can repeat it", she said, with an enormous grin on her face. He asked, gazing at his fellow lads who had finished their running route, "You are in for what?" She said, "This is the eighth one." She felt relieved that her jogging session would soon be over.

"This is my final game. So bye", he said with a wink. "You?" She made a fist with her hand and displayed her rage. After the final round, she went to her pals' and kept jogging. She was of the last group of individuals to complete her jog.

Then Belle exclaimed joyfully, "The great Hadizah is now finished." Hadizah seized the bottle Tina was holding and downed it. She finished everything.

While clenching her hands and legs, Tina instructed them, "Let's go wash up so we can go to the dining hall. I am starving." Belle cried out, "Please let go." To prepare for the day, everyone returned to their room.
