A Twist

He stepped back to avoid the strike and very neatly caught my hand. He pressed some nerve point making my hand involuntarily drop the knife. He then kicked my swiss knife far away from my reach. It was again,"CALLSITER" that was written on the hat. This word had been posing a threat to my life. The man who tried to kill me a day before too had,"CALLISTER" written on his hat and the man peeping from the woods  too had the same word written on his hat  . Deep inside my curiosity developed tension because the "bearer"of it had not  behaved "normally" with me. I ran from the spot but as I turned to do so came two men dressed decently and blocked my path. I was trapped. I had no other way to escape than to beg for life.

"Please , don't kill me. What wrong have I done to you?"

He stood up and turned towards me. Saying nothing he threw a bunch of keys infront of me as if it was his reply. I picked it up. I was shocked seeing my house  keys that I had lost. I stood up. I was very much perplexed."Is he the one who saved me last night , I thought

"yes!" He said.

"but CALLISTER.....?"

" your father too striked me at the same spot , but you will need more training." He said with a grin on his face.

"I'll take him from here", he said , asking the people who blocked me , to blend with the background and they disappeared. He put his arm around my shoulder. I wasn't  feeling very comfortable with so heavy a hand wrapped around me. We walked for a while in silence. I was silent because I was speechless and he was silent because he had been continuously staring at me . After a while , I decided to break the silence and quench my thirst of curiosity.

"Answer my questions now."

"have patience lad. You have a lot of time ", he said. It was weird hearing this  from a stranger in that strange tone. It was getting dark.

"It is time for me to head back home" . Having said so , I expected him to losen the grip he had on my shoulder but it didn't seem to differ at all.

"You don't have to do that." Till now I was not taking things seriously but now I was totally in my senses. I started to resist his grip but couldn't move his hand an inch from where he had placed it earlier. We reached a dead end. The only thing I could see at a distance was a house with a bulb flickering out on the main door. Things couldn't be worse. I looked behind and found those men who had blocked my way , following us. He continued.....
