Wolf Pack

As Arthur and the men were walking out, Arthur saw a man on the gate to the outside who was fast asleep, and he also saw 2 guards outside who were standing still with spears erected on their right hand. He assumed that these were the remaining 3 guards that William saw.

As they approached the 3 men, the guard who was sleeping and the men outside heard their footsteps; the man woke up, and the 2 guards turned around to look at them. Seeing Arthur in a guard's armor and the other men beside him. Also, with the tall and intimidating man, they were scared at first, then they realized. They were the prisoners, and so the man who woke up said, "You bast*rds dare to kill the guards? and also the Warden?" He looked at Arthur when he said the second question.

The man then opened the gate to let the 2 guards outside in; however, Arthur didn't let him and charged at the man with his sword. The others also started charging; only the tall man was left standing where he was with the old man. Seeing that the others left, the tall man looked at the old man and asked, "Old man, you look like Baron Cane, the bast*rd who took the North away from the natives." Hearing this, the old man was shocked as he didn't think someone would recognize him even after all the months he spent in the prison.

Cane, however, didn't show his shock and remained calm but just asked the tall man, "Who is Baron Cane? I am just an old man from the Green Rock Village" The tall man hearing this question just said, "I don't care if you don't want to admit you're Baron Cane, I have already left the North, and I don't want to be fighting anymore, I already have a family. I hope that you would think about the families of the people you killed when you die, old man. Hmph," The tall man then just snorted and started walking to where Arthur was and seeing that the battle already ended with Arthur and them killing all 3 guards.

They then dragged all the guard's bodies and started walking down the made path. After some time of walking, Arthur and the others heard the howl of a Wolf, and they looked in the direction it was coming from. Arthur then said. "Leave 2 bodies here, and let's go before they come." The men then left 2 bodies then and left. They once again heard howl noises, and this time, it wasn't just one like last time, but there were multiple about 7 howls all in different directions.

Hearing this, Arthur frowned because, as far as he knew, Wolves are very territorial, and they wouldn't let other wolf packs near their territory, so hearing 7 different howls in close proximity to one another was surprising. Arthur then said, "Leave the bodies here and let's go hide, let's wait for them to finish all the bodies, and then we'll leave" As everyone was leaving the bodies on the floor, the tall man and Cane were looking around their surroundings and just said, "It's too late, they're already here."

Hearing this, Arthur and the others didn't try to make the bodies more enticing for the wolves but just readied themselves. After some time, they saw many wolves, some gray, some white, and some black. Seeing all of these, Arthur then realized that these wolves aren't like those wolves on Earth. Usually, the black wolves are already the Alpha of the pack, but here, there were a bunch of black ones; there were even more gray ones, presumably the common wolves and the white ones, the middle type of wolves.

The wolves seeing Arthur and the others, with a bunch of bloody bodies. They started howling *Awoo* *Woo* *Wo*, *ARWOOO* Arthur and the others seeing this was shocked when they heard a similar howl in the distance; however, this one sounded a lot heavier and sounded a lot more powerful. The tall man hearing the howl, said, "A King Wolf is leading this pack" "King Wolf?" Arthur asked as he remembered that King Wolves were at LVL.15 and knew that even if he were at full health and stamina, he wouldn't even last 2 strikes before dying, even more so when now he's only at 115HP and almost 0 stamina.

The black wolves were already a pain in the ass as they were LVL.10 monsters, the white ones were LVL.9, and the gray ones were LVL.8. The prisoners who got out were already panicking when they saw the sheer numbers of the wolves who surrounded them and couldn't keep their calm. "Aaah, I should've just stayed in Prison. F*ck this," One man said as he threw the sword on the ground and started running towards one of the ways where there were no wolves.

Seeing this, everyone in the group just shook their head as they already knew that it was not that there were no wolves there; they were just still hidden in the bush. As predicted, when the man reached the bushes where the wolves were, they saw him getting shredded to bits and eaten alive. The other prisoners who saw this also started shivering and couldn't keep their calm *Sob* *Sob* "We should've just stayed in Prison; at least we would still live longer that way."

The tall man hearing this just snorted at them and looked in the direction of the King Wolf. Arthur also didn't care at this point what the other men were doing and just stared at both William and Cane, who were still keeping their composure, and the tall man who was looking in the King Wolf's direction. Arthur then asked, "Are you able to keep the King Wolf occupied?"

The tall man hearing this question, "Depends, if I still had my hammers, it would be possible, however, now that I'm barehanded. Maybe only about 5 minutes" "Hammers?" Arthur pondered, and then he looked at the bodies of the guards and just told the tall man. "Just use these, for now; you can just throw them as bait when they break."

The tall man also agreed as it was the closest thing to a weapon, even though there were swords and 2 spears. His hands were too big to be able to use them comfortably, and if he held the spears on the handle and just swung them around, it would break the first time it would hit the King Wolf's body.

Arthur then looked at the men shivering on the ground and said, "Oi, stop your girly cries. G -- Get up and fight these monsters; we still have a chance to survive" Arthur, not knowing how to motivate them, just said these childish words. Seeing this, William just sighed and said, "Get up and fight, are you really men? These monsters are not that scary, follow my lead, and we will win. I know that you guys are afraid; however, we would die faster if you don't do anything. Besides, you would be called heroes if you're able to kill some of the Wolves and be able to save lives." Although William said this, he knew that they weren't going to be remembered because no one really comes to this side of the mountains, and they wouldn't even know that some of the wolves would be dead.
