Fiery King Wolf

Seeing the men stand up and ready their weapons, Arthur smiled and looked at wolves surrounding them. Not waiting for the King Wolf to come because when he does, then the wolves' attacks would be coordinated, and it would make it harder for them to kill, so he just said, "Kill all of them." and rushed to where the closest group of wolves were and started attacking.

Arthur first started attacking and was trying to bait the wolves into attacking with their paws where he would sidestep to where ever the blind spot is and kill the wolves. The wolf took the bait and struck Arthur with it's right paw; Arthur then stepped to the right side of the wolf and started slashing. He didn't want to use [Double Cross] here as having it would come in handy when he is being surrounded by the wolves later on. Sure enough, it came soon when the wolf to Arthur's ride side also went and attacked Arthur with 2 other wolves.

Seeing his predicament, Arthur attacked more fiercely at the already wounded Wolf and managed to kill it [You have gained 70 Experience Points]. After killing the wolf, he dodged right away, escaping 2 paw attacks and 1 bite. He then used [Double Cross] [Hit][Hit]; the wolves were hit and were wounded. Not letting this opportunity slip by, Arthur then started hacking a lot more aggressively, and he managed to kill 2 more wolves before one of them managed to hit Arthur with a paw attack [-80HP]. Arthur lost 4/5 of his current health with 1 single paw attack and was more worried if the others would be able to kill the wolves. He then killed the remaining wolf before slumping on the ground, having 0 stamina left.

Seeing Arthur slump to the ground, the tall man went beside him and picked him up, throwing him back to where they were. Arthur also let the man just throw him as he really couldn't get up and had to recuperate. While recuperating, Arthur was looking around and seeing how the men were doing. As it turns out, they were doing all right with William at the helm, commanding them on what to do. Arthur then realized that he forgot that William was an ex- Commander turned prisoner, even if it was just in Green Water Village.

After seeing that everything would be alright, Arthur sat down and recuperated his HP and Stamina, which were now at 35points and 0. Some time later, all of the men were tired, and William was also breathing heavily. Seeing all of this, the tall man who has been swinging around the bodies of the guard also stopped and was just sitting down. The wolves seeing a bunch of their kin die, were already starting to hesitate. *ARWOOO* It was until the howl of the King Wolf sounded again, the wolves then also started getting closer to the prisoners.

Arthur then also stood up when he was able to recuperate 65 of his HP and 6 of his Stamina; he didn't realize that he was able to recuperate faster when he was in Death's grasp; before inside the prison, he needed to recuperate for 30 minutes before he was able to gain 20 HP and 5 Stamina, however, being surrounded by wolves in the wilderness, he was able to gain 30HP and 6 Stamina in just 10 minutes.

Arthur then looked in the direction of the howl where he saw a massive wolf, with a beautiful full black fur, 2 red scars on his eyes, and a metal-like tail. Towering at least 3 meters and having a length of about 4 meters. Seeing this monster, Arthur was speechless and just said, "What the hell, that's not a normal King Wolf, normal King Wolves are only about twice as huge as the normal wolves; that's at least thrice their size isn't it."

The tall man nodded and said, "Yes, that's not a normal King Wolf. That's a Fiery King Wolf, a fire breathing Wolf" Arthur then remembered seeing this monster in the 'Boss Monsters Encyclopedia,' and it was said that the monster is around LVL.20. 'F*cking hell, what is a LVL.20 monsters doing in a region filled with players lower than LVL.10.' Arthur thought.

Arthur then said, "I don't think the 5 minutes you promised us would work with this monster. So how do you wanna go about it?" The tall man replied, "I don't know, even in my prime with my hammers, I wouldn't even last a minute against this beast." "So we just die then?" Arthur asked back.

"Pretty much, because even if I sacrifice myself, I would probably only pull his attention for 15 seconds before he goes running towards you guys." Amidst their conversation, the other men who were already tired from fighting the wolves were already losing their pumped motivation when they saw the dreadful Fire King Wolf and then listening to Arthur and the tall man's conversation; they already started running, acting like they weren't even tired.

The tall man's expression changed when he saw this, and he also started running. 'It's not that I'm a coward, but if I'm the only casualty, then that f*ck that.' the tall man thought when he was running. Arthur and William also started running. Arthur then slowed down and turned back, looking at the old man Cane, who was just standing there, the person who has been mute the entire time since they left. "Hey, old man, didn't you have a pathway to get to the village?" Arthur yelled.

However, this went into deaf ears as the old man was hit by a fire blast thrown by the Fiery King Wolf. "AHH" 3 seconds later, Arthur saw the old man turn to ash, and his expression changed, and he also ran faster. Seeing all the running people, the Fiery King Wolf looked in the direction where the 10 other prisoners ran to and started sprinting there. Arthur and William saw that they were safe from pursuit and started slowing down to catch their breath; however, this didn't last long as they saw 7 black wolves and 11 white wolves rushing after them.

"Run faster," William said to Arthur as he also ran faster. They could only run for 15 minutes since Arthur's stamina plummeted to 0, and he slumped to the ground. William seeing this, also stopped and tried to carry Arthur. However, Arthur pushed William and said, "Run first, I will catch up to you" Although he said this, he really wasn't going to be able to catch up to William as he has to recuperate for a minute before he can have enough stamina to run again.

"No, if you die. Then let's die together; at least my last battle would still be in the battlefields against monsters." William then raised his sword and waited for the wolves to catch up and attack. "Okay, if that's what you want. Protect me for 2 minutes; I will help soon," Arthur said as he sat down and started recuperating.

"2 minutes? I can do that. COME ON!" William said as he looked at the approaching wolves. Seeing William raise his sword and remembering what happened, the wolves looked on hesitantly, however, seeing William on his last foot. They pounced, seeing the wolves jump on him. William started slashing and shouted [Double Cross].

William's [Double Cross] hit 3 wolves, 1 dying and the other 2 badly wounded. However, William didn't relax even after seeing his accomplishment, but he started slashing even more fiercely on the other wolves. William started to trade blows with the Wolves; sometimes he got hit by a paw, other times he parried it, and he also was able to kill more wolves.

William, after some time, realized that he was only 5 seconds out from the promised 2 minutes and so he shouted, "Hey Arthur, I have already given you the 2 minutes you wanted. Now all is up to y—" as William said his line, he collapsed on the ground. Arthur then also stood up and grabbed his sword and started slashing [Double Cross] [Hit][Hit], killing 4 wounded wolves and also harming 2 more. He then continued slashing and piercing.
