Chapter 92 : I can't seem to hate her.
Nectar paid no attention to the people they'd just introduced as she searched for Athena. Though she disregarded etiquette, there were some she obeyed when necessary.
She wanted to tell Athena she was leaving before someone took the chance to try and break their fragile frenemy ship. She saw Athena emerge from a crowd, they were surrounding someone but she couldn't see the person clearly.
" You don't seem too happy Lady Athena ", Athena only smiled tiredly, " I didn't expect anyone to notice but I'll be fine ". Nectar nodded, rolling up her sleeves " You don't have to worry sister, I will help you beat them to a pulp ".
That made Athena giggle as she sighed, " Sister Empress, I mean my empress is very kind to me ". Nectar nodded, " You can call me Sister Empress if you want, I think we're familiar enough for that ".
Athena seemed surprised but agreed, " Alright Sister Empress, how may I help you "? Nectar shrugged lightly, " I was just about to leave but wanted to say good night and you're banquet was truly unforgettable ".
Athena seemed surprised by the sudden compliment but smiled all the same and even gave a slight curtsey, " It was an honour to have you Sister ". With that, Nectar waved goodbye and left [ The kids can only keep Liam down for so long ]

Athena had no idea why she felt sad when Nectar left or why she was happy they made the night without any plotting [ I think I need to lie down ] Athena took out the daffodil from her hair and smiled, " Reli was right, Sister Empress is strange ".
She was surprised when Eros suddenly wrapped his arms around her, " What's wrong sunshine "? Athena stiffened slightly, putting the flower in her dress pocket, " Nothing ". Eros laughed, kissing her cheek " If you say so. Have you seen the empress "?
Athena shrugged pointing at the exit, " She left a minute ago, turned in for bed ". Athena wasn't sure why but she was really hoping that Eros would leave her alone for some reason.
Laughing at her thoughts, she gently removed herself from his grip and smiled, putting a hand to his cheek " I think I'll go lie down some, I think the preparations are getting to me ".
Kissing his cheek lightly " But do have a good time Eros " and walked away into the crowd. She didn't notice Eros clenching his fists or the slight scowl on his beautiful face.

[ Sister is so popular ] Reli had been searching for Nectar for a while now but she didn't seem to be the only one. She'd bumped into the Demon Lord, Shape shifters crown prince and even the Fairies crown princess.
" Big Sister is incredible ", Nosa said as he excitedly fisted his hands " I was right to follow her ". Reli laughed lightly, William on her over side.
" I heard that her majesty got into a fight with her sister ". Reli shrugged, putting a chocolate dipped strawberry in her mouth, " She must have upset Sister Empress then ".
Arron laughed lightly, looking over at his sister " What makes you think it isn't the other way around "? Reli wagged her finger, her mouth half full " Sister Nectar is very laid back. She doesn't go looking for trouble yet it always seems to find her ".
Nosa nodded, as if he'd been enlightened " Well, I heard that Crown Princess Nova was trying to have a conversation with General Soul ".
Reli's expression didn't change much, " You know how protective they are of each other, would you let me talk with anyone you hated irrespective of my feelings "? They all looked away guilty and Reli sighed, " Exactly ".

Bonsi had been searching for Nectar for a bit now to no avail. Not to fight or anything, just to thank her [ It could have turned out a lot differently if she hadn't shown up ]
She'd spent most of her life around Axis and Luscious but that didn't mean she could say she knew them. Luscious was always so goofy, you'd barely ever see him serious and Axis was under a curse so he had to keep his temper.
She'd been married to him since she was eighteen and he was twenty one but they didn't get along well. Actually she found him terrifying but there was nothing she could do. They weren't even sleeping in the same room talk less of the same bed.
But everyone kept pressuring her to have a child with him, from her parents in Sepafi to the court officials in Verflog. It took a lot of begging and plotting to get him to sleep with her and much like the place she now lived, the experience was hell.
Though they slept together, it was purely political but that didn't stop her from eventually falling for him. He didn't hate her, he didn't love her but she wanted him to notice her and care about the things she did.
She knew it was dumb but it worked, talking constantly, plotting against the other concubines ruthlessly and trying to learn his peoples ways. They loved their son very much and she knew she would have been punished if Nectar hadn't suddenly appeared.
She searched futilely and sighed as she walked towards the exit, Axis wouldn't care where she was as long as she didn't cause trouble and she was too ashamed and scared to face him right now [ Maybe coming here was a mistake ]
