Rebirth of A heartless empress

     Reli came out of her suite, slightly disappointed " When will they get here "? Cookie closed the door after her, " You shouldn't worry so much. Your father and brother said they're escorting Nisrag's second envoy ".


     She suddenly turned to Cookie, " Didn't they say Minister San was on that trip too? What if they end up fighting "? Cookie sighed, " That can only be in your imagination. Let us do something to take it off your mind ".  


      The Sopins suite was on the south wing and had about five rooms with a lounge. The only usefulness she saw in that much space was a training ground, " Let's take a look outside. I do remember seeing a pond ". She dragged Cookie with her and headed for the stairs.


     Melanie had no intention of staying in such a large suite by herself. She had no family to invite and being alone for that long didn't sit well with her either. She grew up around the constant hustle and bustle of people. Silence was simply nerve racking to her.


     She just left the room to tell Athena she couldn't stay in the suite when she bumped into Reli, " Where are you rushing of to now "? Reli smiled playfully, " There's a pond out back, I'm curious if there's any fish in there ". 


    Melanie laughed, " Of course you are ". Reli looked behind her, into her suite " Aren't you going to unpack "? Melanie shook her head, " No, I was just about to tell Athena I wanted a side room ". 


    Reli frowned, obviously confused " But you're an Imperial Consort, that wouldn't do much good for your reputation ". Melanie shrugged, " I do not care for such ". Cookie suddenly spoke up, " If I may, you could stay in our Sopins suite. We would love the company ".   


     Reli nodded, " Why didn't I think of that "? But Melanie shook her head, " I can't bear to inconvenience you ". Reli suddenly held her hand, " No problem, I'd be happy to have you ". Melanie stopped protesting and followed behind her, " If you insist ". Reli nodded with a smile, " I do. This'll be so much fun ".


      Eros' suite was in the east wing and much like the other suites so far, they had five rooms. His parents had naturally taken the master bedroom. Rick would take the one by the right and Eros the one on the left.


     Dodwen being his right hand man, took the last room. Eros was sitting in the lounge, waiting for his room to be cleaned when Rick walked in with two others behind him. They seemed a bit rough around the edges to him but good looking all the same.


     They'd already decided to give the last room to Rick's guards.  Dodwen looked at the door to the room they just entered with curiosity," We don't have any sort of information on those two men Eros ". 


    Eros shrugged, " No matter. It doesn't matter what he does, I'll destroy him ". Dodwen shuddered slightly when Eros smiled and took a step back [ Sometimes I forget he's ruthless ] " I hate it when you smile, it gives me the shivers ". 


    Eros laughed, smiling even wider " Really? But everyone seems so dazzled by it ". Dodwen grunted mildly, " If only they saw you acting like a narcissist ".
