Chapter 195 : A nice winter.

Jiro was relieved when the snowflake slowly faded away from the book. The ink did remain red though and that was rather strange. He rubbed his chin as he read the last few lines.

A conversation happening between Nectar and Liam and he frowned, " Howard Les Shorlif...Why do I recognize this name "? There was a sudden gust of wind that seemed to blow past his ear, " Because it is ".

Jiro frowned, closing the book and letting it fade back into the library, " Will you ever knock "? He heard a hearty laugh as a middle aged man suddenly appeared. He was a combination of white clouds, grey swirling wind and yellow lightning but none the less handsome.

His body seemed to be made of fluffy clouds, his hair a combination of the unruly grey wind and calm white clouds. He had small thunderbolts for eyes and was surrounded in the wind.

" Belrod "? He spread his arms out wide, " The one and only ". Jiro nodded calmly [ How many centuries ago did I see him last? ] " What are you doing here? How are you awake "?

Belrod suddenly started to float, lying flat as if he was on an invisible hammock, " I felt Trewa's presence and I just kinda did ". Jiro squinted his eyes suspiciously, " You're not going to try anything, right "?

He shook his head seriously, " I do have a few things I want to do but nothing too harsh ". Jiro suddenly scolded him angrily [ I forget that I'm the gods babysitters sometimes ] " Belrod "! He suddenly frowned, " Maybe reveal myself to Liam but I have no intention of running over his consciousness. I'm not that harsh ".

Jiro sighed, slouching in his chair " Then why bother revealing yourself in the first place "? Belrod slouched, his body beginning to take on a better human form " I just want to feel my big sister's presence. It's been a millennia or so at this point.....plus I'm curious as to how much the world has changed since my last awakening ".

Jiro nodded, rubbing the bridge of his nose " This is definitely not my generation. Are all of you going to awaken "? Belrod shrugged with a slight smile, " I'd expect it if I were you. Gitaho was always good at molding humans ".

Jiro nodded slowly, " Merfal's a gentle soul....till he goes on a rampage though ". Belrod nodded, " Yeah, remember the time he turned Verflog into the eternal flaming wastelands it is now ".

He nodded, " Yeah. The library was such a mess that day. A lot of reorganizing too " and Belrod went on happily, " That made Gitaho so upset. But she was so furious when she realized he'd turned her precious human creations into demons ".

Again Jiro rubbed the bridge of his nose, " Yeah. though her rampage wasn't as destructive, she did end up making Sepafi and a whole new species ". Belrod nodded with a slight smile on his lips, " She always liked beautiful things. Are those elves and fairies of hers still as stunning "?

Jiro smiled, looking out the window " Yes, but most have a rather mischievous side ". Belrod nodded, standing up " Will Wastrum awaken as well in this generation "? He sighed as he got up as well, " It's very likely ".

He suddenly tilted his head and smiled, " That's great. I haven't felt her warm smile in five hundred years you know ". Jiro suddenly frowned, looking down at Belrod's foot " You're leg ".

Belrod laughed as he began to fade away, " I guess I'm out of time. I'll see you around. And I'll try to make up for Trewa's tantrum ". Jiro frowned, concerned about his fading friend " That doesn't make me feel better ".

Belrod suddenly winked with a playful smile on his lips, " Let's just say it'll be a nice winter. Hopefully I'll see you soon ". He disappeared as soon as he said that and Jiro collapsed into the chair, " That's not true. Even if it is, I'll be too busy keeping them in check to enjoy a nice winter ".
