"Sht sht sht!" I ran around my room picking up books and stuffing them in my backpack. I mean, don't get me wrong. I'm not late or anything, I'm just frustrated on what day it is today.
"Calm down woman! It's not the end of the world you know?!" Hiro yells from downstairs. Geez, guys.
"Do you even know what day it is?!" I yell back. We've been living here for months and there is this horrid day every week that I hope I could escape. I stuff my bag with books and also Hiro's books. Well, to be honest, he's really the one who does his homework so it's not that bad. I sling my bag on and go downstairs. The smell of bacon fills the room. Yum!
"Morning kiddo" uncle greeted me as I sit down and put my lovely bacon and eggs on my plate.
"Yup, it's beautiful isn't it?" I said sarcastically. Don't get me wrong, I'm a good kid. It's just this family is too close to me so I can be who I really am here.
"Is it the day of the month for her?" uncle asks Hiro in which the bitch snickers. Okay? Why would the bitch know when will I have my menstruation? That's mess up.
"No dad, it's p.e." he acts like whispering it to his dad while looking at me. I scoff at him and continue eating. PE isn't that bad but to wear a freaking t-shirt and that small fitted shorts you wear for the gym. Is it gym shorts? Well, whateva you call it. It's annoying.
Wearing that could easily blow my cover and of course nerds aren't that good at sports and the likes so I needed to wimp myself up. It's more tiring than dealing with classes, ugh!
"Genevieve is there something you're not telling us?" Aunt Becca eye me as if she already knows what she's asking.
Uh oh, am I in trouble?
I didn't eat the cookies as far as I remember. So what is it?
"Uhmm, I didn't eat those cookies if that's what you're saying auntie, maybe Hiro eat it?" I said while I smile goofily.
"What?! Mom bakes some cookies?!" Hiro asks, well more like yell if you ask me. "Yes, Hiro but shut up. And no Genevieve, I'm talking about school," she says while looking at me with worry.
My eyes widened not expecting that she'll know sooner than I thought. If my father knows about this, I don't know what will he do. But I know it won't be pretty. I glare at Hiro knowing full well that he's the one who blabbers that.
"Why did you--"
"It's not me I swear!" Hiro defended.
"Genevieve.." Aunt Becca calls calmly. It's her way of saying that I needed to spill it before she loses her patience. And trust me, we don't want kind people losing their patience. It'll get pretty ugly.
"Tiffany kneels me in my stomach, after that I don't know what happened. I blackout." I said bowing and can't look at her. I don't want her to be worried. It's my fault for letting my guard down. I could've sense her and avoid her.
"It's not your fault." I look at him and he's not looking at me but staring at his plate.
"I should've been there to protect you." And after that, the atmosphere changes. It became too silent. No one's talking so it's pretty awkward. How could I even reply to that? If the atmosphere is different I could yell at his face that I don't need protection. But why do I feel happy about Hiro protecting me?
"Hey, who's this Tiffany anyway?" uncle asks out of the blue.
"You know that girl who sleeps with almost the whole varsity team," Hiro explained.
"Aren't you also a part of the varsity?" Uncle asks him which makes me laugh.
"Uncle you should've hear what you say, it's hilarious! Hahaha" I clutch my stomach laughing and Hiro's face is full of disgust.
"Dad! I don't sleep with whores!"
"Hiro language" Aunt warns him but also laughing lightly.
I look at them with awe and with that I miss my family.
