A Great Friend

I didn't stop smiling as I stood in front of him. 

"Alexis?" He asks with surprise. 

"Hey." I say as I breathe heavily. 

He looks behind me, then back to my face. "What are you doing here?" 

I finally snap out of my daze and take a sit beside him. 

"What do you mean?" I ask as I make myself comfortable. "I school here." 

"Yeah I know but-"

Suddenly the cafeteria is filled with students as they rushed towards the counter to get their lunch. Students were running to get good benches. Some were saving seats for their friends who were on the payment queue. 

"I thought you'd be resting at home." He adds and I turn to face him. 

"Were you worried?" I ask with a sly smile and he looks away slightly before looking back at me. 

"Yes."
