EMBARASSMENT!

Garret shoved Ishmael off him, "I did not!" he protested. He sniffed and wiped the blood trickling from his nose. Grimacing, Garret stood. "I was going to cook some food for you, miss Adam Meyer, because I thought you might be hungry after your," he paused as if searching for the right word, "uh- exercise." his face colored slightly.

I felt my own cheeks heat and then heat again as I realized not only did he hear us, but I was only partially clothed, even now, and I was still sticky.

"He didn't just hear us, Kylara. He had a 'party' of his own." I flinched and my mouth opened and closed like a fish out of water.

I was entirely embarrassed. I didn't know what "party" Ishmael was referring to, but I knew- I didn't know anything. The hot blood rushing to my head was frying all my thoughts away. I stared at them. They stared at me.

After a few minutes of awkward silence, I turned and walked away. I couldn't bear their scrutiny any longer.
