The second he tried to breath as his soul he started sensing them, tiny particles everywhere in the air, passing thru walls like it was nothing and growing until they burst into many other particles.
With a single inhaling of his soul half of the particles in the air of his room where absorbed by him. The refreshing feeling he wanted to feel came in a torrent, but the feeling of his mental energy being drained a little accompanied it.
He felt the demonic world around him almost instantly absorb the particles that entered, but nothing came out of it."
Dean thought "So it uses my mental energy to cultivate, so my mental energy being high is quite helpful, I think Finn said something about this, just one more breath... Time to check the second chapter"
Taking the scroll he willed it to start the second lesson, like before it flew in the air then shoot a bean of rainbow light at the middle of his temples, sending him to the fog room,
In the fog world the most beautiful man Dean ever saw in his two lives said, while still seated with his legs crossed and eyes closed, "After you breath spirit qi will enter your soul, for it to be used it must be digested. It is there a cultivation technique is necessary.
The technique I am about to teach you is called the formless spirit, it allows cultivators with more than one element to have more than one elemental shape for their soul, at its mastery they can even combine this shapes."
Once again Dean felt what the man was feeling, feeling his soul that looked just like him absorb the energy qi inside of it, which just keep appearing as it got used.
As he absorbed more and more of spirit qi his soul started to loose simple details, then his ears and nose disappeared his fingers and toes became one. Eventually his soul turned into a simple transparent ball.
Back at his room, with the scroll on his hand, Dean frowned and thought "This isn't right, my soul just absorbed everything… maybe its because my soul is already refined, just lacking spirit qi, it does already have a form.
So this technique was useless, beside the part of breathing. Guess I will just keep absorbing spirit qi and see where it goes…Hmm, the spirit qi in the room still dint recover. Maybe there is something in the ring for this"
With a simple thought he brought one of the many bottles out of the ring. He looked at the small expensive looking crystal bottle containing a blue liquid inside, not knowing what was its uses.
As soon as he opened it to take a sniff the strong smell of herbs filled room. His eyes became red and watery, while his powerful sensitive nose felt like it was burning.
He quickly closed the bottle and put it back inside the ring, putting a note in his mind to never open it unless he knew it uses, and plug his nose before doing it.
Opening the small window for the smell to go out, he then took one of the many stones inside the ring. The second he touched the glowing blue stone he could already fell what it was, feeling the big amount of spirit qi inside of it.
He thought "You dint let me down patriarch, this is just perfect".
Dean happily begun breathing with his soul, absorbing the spirit qi in the stone. After a few minutes, when his mental energy was very close to being completely spent and the spirit qi in the stone was almost completely gone, he noticed some small saplings of a black wood growing above the blood in the ground
The saplings leaves where made of a red flesh that rhythmically pulsated like a hearth was sending blood to them. Dean looked at it and thought "So this is what is happening with the qi I absorb, interesting. Maybe this place is the combined cultivation technique of those two bastards".
Mentally tired Dean checked the time on his cellphone, surprising himself as he had spent hours cultivating, but it barely felt like thirty minutes had passed.
He looked at he stone on his hands, which now looked just like any regular gray stone, but he still could feel a little spirit qi inside, so he sent it back to the ring, putting the scroll back there too.
He thought "There still a few hours before the inn meal, maybe I should look for a job. Hmm… the two things that probably profit a lot are smiths and alchemists, but I have no skill in any of those areas.
I am good at fighting but I doubt my skills are anything here, that 'simple' spell Finn gave to me is at least a A rank formation. Took me four days to do it one time.
Guess I should check the alchemist guild I saw on the way here, who knows maybe I have some talent. Maybe having wood affinity makes me a genius or something"
He got up, stretched for a bit then walked out of the room, looking the door behind him then going down the stairs. At the ground floor he saw Reggie and Eva seated at a table talking.
As soon as Reggie saw him he waved at him and said "Hey Dean, you are finally out"
Walking closer to them, Dean said "Hey, what are you guys doing?"
Reggie said "We both go tired of trying to sense our soul and we where hungry so we had our the free meal and just been talking here. How about you? Did you make any progress or just lost your free meal for nothing".
Dean sat down with them and looked around, seeing there was only bored the receptionist using her phone nearby, he asked "Can you guys keep a secret?"
Reggie looked right at Dean eyes and said "Don't offend me like that, I would never tell a friend secret to anyone" Eva nodding with him, starting to become less timid when talking with the two.
Dean said "I am actually a big genius, I have a hundred percent affinity to the dark, demonic, blood and shadow element."
Both Eva and Reggie looked at Dean with their eyes opened wide, even though they still dint have much of an idea of how incredibly rare this was.
Reggie said almost screaming "What!" calming down right after and continuing to talk almost whispering "Are you joking with us? Why are you keeping this a secret? You could become famous, get a lot of resources and what not"
