Varil Part I

Location: Marsilea Islands

Varil is eating together with Professors Harrison and Nana.

"Uwaaah!! Nana's cooking is so delicious!!" said Varil.

"You like it?" asked Nana.

"My wife's cooking is delicious, but I never thought you were immediately hungry when you saw the food. I thought you would be suspicious of this food. Just as you were suspicious of me when we met," said the Professor.

"Of course I didn't suspect anything. Nana looks good, unlike the Professor," replied Varil.

"Hahaha~, good answer," Nana laughed at Varil's answer.

"How spicy are you," muttered the Professor.

"But, you haven't answered my question," said Varil reminding the Professor.

"Very well, I will answer that question. Marsilea Islands is our artificial island, the word 'we' here means Me, Nana, and our servants that I told you earlier," replied the Professor.

"Oh, you mean the visual of AOE's hologram?" asked Varil.

"Yes, there used to be only one island, namely the main island. But because the main island is too small, we built another island to build the existing facilities on each island," the Professor replied.

"Wait, I have something to ask you again, Professor," said Varil.

"Oh, you look very serious," said the Professor.

"Professor, what is your goal in building this island? And how can you build an Island this many with all the facilities with the help of just two people? And how come no one has ever noticed the existence of this place?" asked Varil.

"You are very critical. I like it. Okay, I will answer all your questions. First, this island has never been found by anyone because the island is covered in an electromagnetic field that is both a barrier and a protector of this island. This electromagnetic field blocks the existence of the island from outside, but we can see events that are outside from inside. Quite sophisticated, right? I named the electromagnetic field Blind Castle. Nana gave the name," replied the Professor.

"How? Is that good?" Nana blushed a little.

"Second, I was able to build this whole place with just three people thanks to this tool," the professor showed a pin to Varil.

"What is that?" asked Varil.

"I named this tool Elemental Pin. With this tool, I can manipulate the various elements that exist on this earth. The simple examples are water, fire, earth, and air," replied the Professor.

"Like in the films or fictional stories?" asked Varil.

"It's simply like that. But this isn't magic, this is a technology that I developed with Nana for a long time. So it's a little different from what you understand," replied the Professor.

"So with this tool, you built all the islands and existing facilities? But why did you make all these tools, this Island, and even the facilities that exist even though among them there are facilities like the open stage on West Island that you don't use often? And why did you hide it from the world?" asked Varil.

"I have quite a strange dream," replied the Professor.

"Dream? What kind of dream?" asked Varil.

" My dream is... I want to... shake the world," replied the Professor.

"What does it mean? You want to surprise the world with all your discoveries at once?" asked Varil.

"Not!" replied the Professor loudly.

"P-Professor?" Varil was surprised by the Professor's reaction.

"You ask a lot of critical questions. That's annoying, but I like young men like you who are quite critical of things. Listen, the meaning of my dream is that I want to awaken the world from its stupidity. I want her to realize that there are injustices everywhere. The exploitation of nature, racism, mass duping, abuse of power, and many other world problems that many people are aware of but have never responded to. Therefore I want to awaken the world from its stupidity," replied the Professor.

"But what does your dream have to do with all these tools and places, Professor?" Varil still looks confused.

"To achieve my dream, I think... if there was only me, then I could not make it happen," replied the Professor.

"I… don't understand Professor. You gave up on your dream?" asked Varil.

"Are you stupid or what? How could I give up with my dream," replied the Professor.

"Then what do you mean by you can't make it happen?" asked Varil.

"As I said, if there was only me alone, I couldn't make it happen. Besides, this very old me can't shake the whole world. However, a nation founder once said-" The professor began to imagine the figure he admired when he was young.

"Give me 1,000 parents, I will surely remove Semeru from the roots. Give me 10 young men I will certainly shake the world. "

-Ir. Soekarno-

"From his words, I got the idea to find ten young people who could shake the world," replied the Professor.

"And since we haven't found them yet, we keep our place and all our tools a secret because the ignorance of today's humans shows that the world is not ready to accept knowledge from us. And what will make them ready are the ten young men," said Nana.

Varil was speechless as he was amazed by the Professor's answer.

"Varil, you are a very attractive young man. Therefore, do you want to become one of the young men who can make my dream come true ?" asked the Professor.

"W-what? I? I-I'm... not sure I can do that," replied Varil.

"You don't have to answer my question so quickly. If you are still not sure of your answer, you can think about it in a few days or until you are sure of your answer," said the Professor.

" Al-all right," murmured Varil.

"Looks like you will be calmer if you think about it in your own house. Besides, it's already getting late in the evening," said Nana.

"This is bad! I forgot to do my homework!" Varil remembered his homework.

"Homework?" asked Nana.

"Yes, my school assignment is to write a poem about nature," replied Varil.

"Oh, that's why you were in the cornfield, huh?" asked the Professor.

"Yes, I'm looking for inspiration. Can I go home now? I have to do my homework," said Varil.

"Regarding that task, do you want to do it with me? I'm not very good at literature, but in the library, there are several sources for writing poetry," Nana asked.

"May I? Then, please help, Nana," Varil accepted Nana's invitation.

"Good! While you guys are in the library, I'll prepare the teleport portals," said the Professor.

"Nana, Professor, I am very grateful that you are very kind," said Varil.

"No need to be grateful. Even though it's only been a while, we already think of you as our child," replied Nana.

By doing so, Nana and Varil go to the library while Professor Harrison set up a teleportation portal for Varil to go home.
