Sunshine Orphanage Part I

Location: Main Island, Marsilea Islands

Professors Harrison, Nana, and Varil are chatting in the living room.

"Orphanage?" Varil is shocked.

"Yes, we will visit our friend tomorrow. You want to come with us?" asked Nana.

"But I still have to practice the elemental control of this pin," replied Varil.

"Don't worry. You've been working hard all this week. So for tomorrow, you can rest for a while," said the Professor.

"Fine then. I want to see the orphanage that belongs to your friend," said Varil.

The next day...

Location: Sunshine Orphanage

Professors Harrison, Nana, and Varil visit an orphanage belonging to Nana's friend.

"We have arrived!" exclaimed Nana.

"Is this an orphanage? This place looks very lonely without any small children," said Varil.

"This orphanage is in danger of being evicted. So most of the children here have been transferred to other orphanages," said a woman who came out of the orphanage door.

"Windy!" call Nana.

"It's been a long time since you last visited. Unfortunately, this place will be evicted in a few days," said Windy, the owner of the orphanage.

"What happened? Why was your orphanage evicted?" asked the Professor.

"Come in, Let me just explain it inside," Windy replied.

They also entered the orphanage and talked about evicting Windy's orphanage.

"So, what happened?" asked Nana.

"The landowners of this orphanage have already died a few months ago. After he died, he gave this land title to his son and he sold it to a company in a neighboring town. Since the company wanted to open a branch in this city, they asked us to move because we no longer had the right to live here. Most of the children in this orphanage I have transferred to other orphanages that are willing to accept them. However, some children still don't want to go," Windy replied.

"Why didn't you tell us?" asked the Professor.

"I wanted to tell this to Nana last week. However, because I had to, I decided to first transfer the children to another orphanage. Because even though we moved, we didn't have enough money to support them in our new orphanage," Windy replied.

"What do you mean it doesn't have enough money? Doesn't this orphanage have enough donors?" asked the Professor.

"Since the owner of this orphanage land died, most donors stopped donating to this orphanage. The last donor broke his relationship two weeks ago. Therefore, I had to move the children first," Windy replied.

"Then what are you going to do?" asked Nana.

"I will raise funds first to rebuild our orphanage. But before that, some children were still stubborn and didn't want to leave this place," Windy replied.

"Mama!!" shouted a girl who ran toward Windy.

" Mae? What is it, honey?" asked Windy.

"Mama! Mae is hungry!" replied the little girl.

"Mae, right? You're a big boy, right?" Said, Nana.

"Mama, who are they?" asked Mae.

"Mae, this is Aunt Nana, Uncle Harry, and… oh I forgot. Are you Varil? Nana told me about you at that time. Mae, this is Kak Varil, "Windy replied.

"Hi, Mae!" said Varil.

"Mama, Mama, Mae Hungry!" exclaimed Mae.

"Mae, do you want to try Aunty's cooking?" asked Nana.

"Want! Want! Mae wants to eat!" Mae replied.

"Sorry to bother you," said Windy.

"It is okay. Come on, Mae, let's go to the kitchen," said Nana.

Nana also took Mae to the kitchen.

"Then, who are the other kids who are still here?" asked the Professor.

"There are three other kids here. They are a little difficult to move because they are quite big. They are the same age as Varil. So, they have a lot of memories in this place," Windy replied.

"My age? Then they are twenty years old?" asked Varil.

"Two of them are still nineteen years old," Windy replied.

"Have you persuaded them?" asked the Professor.

"I've persuaded them several times. But they still insisted on staying here. I don't want them to force their stay here and then make the company angry and hurt them to get rid of them. Therefore, I asked you to come here to help persuade them to move from here," Windy replied.

"Where are they now?" asked the Professor.

"One of them must be in the library right now. While the other two are usually in the park," Windy replied.

"Okay, I'll try to talk to the kid in the library. Varil, can you help persuade those who are in the garden?" asked the Professor.

"Certain. I will try!" exclaimed Varil.

"Then I will take you there," said Windy.

Windy also escorted Professor Harrison and Varil to the place where the children were told by him.

"This is the back garden of the Sunshine Orphanage. Usually, at this time Flora and Quinn were cleaning the flowers… that's them! Flora! Quinn!" Windy approaching them.

"Mama? What is wrong? Hmm? Who is she? Is he one of those companies ?! Hey, you! How dare you want to evict this place!" exclaimed Quinn.

"Hah?" Varil was confused.

"Flora, Quinn, this is Varil. He and my friend came to visit here. They are not people from that company," said Windy.

"Oh, I see? Too bad, you guys came when this orphanage was about to close," muttered Quinn.

"Quinn! It is not good!" exclaimed Windy.

Quinn then left them.

"Sorry, Quinn sometimes acts like that," said Windy.

"It's okay, I understand the current situation," said Varil.

"Oh, this is Flora. You can chat here. I'm going to the kitchen first to see Mae. I'm afraid he will trouble Nana. Flora, I'll leave Varil to you, okay?" Windy left Varil with Flora.

"B-but..." Flora was a little scared.

"Hi! My name is Varil!" said Varil.

"F-flora" replied Flora.

'(Why is she scared to see me?)' Thought Varil.

"You must be wondering why he looks scared," said Quinn.

"Q-Quinn!" Flora ran towards Quinn.

"Sorry, it's all your fault why Flora is scared," said Quinn.

"Hah? How is this all my fault? You already know that I am not a person from the company that will evict this place, "said Varil.

"It's not all about the people from the company or this orphanage," said Quinn.

"Then why is he scared like that?" asked Varil.

"You don't need to know. You are nothing we are after all. You better get out of here. You scared Flora," replied Quinn.

"Sorry, but I'm not leaving here," said Varil.

"What are you staying here for? You just scared Flora," said Quinn.

"First, the Professor told me to talk to you. Secondly, I want to try to help you," said Varil.

Quinn and Flora were silent at what Varil said.

"A man and a woman are the two wings of a bird. If the two wings are equally strong, then the bird flies to the highest peak, if one of the two wings breaks, the bird cannot fly at all."
