Chapter 2

I woke up before my alarm could go off. My outfit was already planned. Black leggings, white crop top, white adidas, and my favorite jean jacket. Styled with comfort in mind and a sexy body on market. I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I hopped in the shower and put the water on cold. I would not need motivation to leave the shower today, it was freezing.

I started shampooing my hair and watched as the dye washed down the drain. I sighed. The blue would barely be there anymore. I stepped out of the shower and dried myself off. I slipped on my clothes and started drying my hair. I looked in the mirror. I still had the necklace on and as predicted there was no blue left in my hair. Only fiery red.

I decided to opt for lipgloss and mascara. I bolted out of the bathroom and up the stairs to my bedroom. I put on my bookbag and dragged my suitcase down the stairs. Mom stood at the foot of the stairs. She had tears streaming down her face. I hugged her tightly. "I'll call every Wednesday and my car is coming over later. I already have a place to stay remember. Everything is going to be fine." I said trying to comfort her, but also comforting myself.

I slowly let her go. "Call me the minute you land." She ordered wiping her face. I nodded. This really was the hardest part. Leaving her. "Okay. I have to go now." My mom sighed and pointed to the door. I grinned at her. "There's a gift on your bed." I whispered. "Go before I start spouting like a fucking water fountain." I nodded and left the house tugging my suitcase after me. My heart clenched in pain, sad at leaving her. I'll be back, I reminded myself.

The airport was surprisingly somewhat empty. "Does anyone have a ticket to Chicago! I can buy you a new one if you let me borrow yours!" Someone yelled from inside the airport. "Miss perhaps you can give me your ticket? I have enough money to buy you another one, but I need to go to Chicago now." The voice was surprisingly very deep, but their screaming was so loud. I turned around and sighed. "Let's say I did. What's in it for me?" I asked. Brown hair, amber eyes, and a sharply dressed suit. No, nopity, no, nope. The suit was enough to tell me he was the CEO of some beautiful company. "Money, college, debts, anything! I just really need that ticket." He looked really uncomfortable.

Mr. CEO not used to begging. "Well I have money, I'm going to college, and I don't have debts. But I'm deciding to do do my good deed for the year and give you a ticket." I handed him Derek's old ticket. "Don't worry it's first class, but you'll b sitting next to this bitch." I said pointing to myself. "What's your name?" He asked. "Hey I gave you a ticket to the plane, not to my name. Fuck off." He laughed, his billion dollar teeth shining.

Did this dude really have the audacity to laugh in my face? I snatched the ticket out of his hand. "Hey!" He snapped. I refrained from groaning. "I'm Devon Houser Lewis. Do you know how many companies I own?" He asked. I rolled my eyes. "And do you know how many fists I own? Two. Just enough to fuck you up. Please don't get on my nerves." I growled at him.

I checked the time. We should probably get our luggage checked now. "Let's go." I grabbed for my suitcase just to find someone else's hand there. "I'll hold it for you Mystery Maiden." I swear this dude was pushing it. I yanked it away from him and walked away. I heard him run after me. I slowed down to let him catch up. "Mystery Maiden, if you don't tell me your name I can't find you when you want your favor." He said grabbing my arm.

I shrugged and shook his hand off of me. "I really don't give a fucking shit about some favor. I'm not your petty ex-girlfriend." I snapped. He stared at me wide eyed. "You're so fiery. Are you always like this?" He asked. "Ask the last 10 boys I kicked in the balls. The last 6 girls I knocked out. My past 2 boyfriends and the last 23 kids I fought with." I told him. He was now open mouth with shock. "You really keep the stats." He whispered. "And the names and addresses. Just incase I need to hit them up again." I whispered back. He paled as I laughed at him.
