Since Akira already knew how to sense mana this part went very quick. However when guiding the mana he wasn't going to make the same mistake as yesterday. This time he took it easy. Listening to his father's advice he was very gentle with the mana. He noticed that the mana quickly became steadier. Daisuke on the other hand was shocked to see how quick his son managed to guide the mana around.
He took around week to be able to guide the mana and here he saw his son doing this almost instantly. Akira went on by taking a small amount of mana and guiding it to his abdomen. Here he tried to make in spiral around. Which he was able to do however the mana wouldn't stay in motion. The first day he had to release the mana again as he wasn't able to control it enough. The second day he was able to keep a bit more and after one month he had enough mana stored in his abdomen to be considered a beginner level mage in terms of mana capacity. Taking one month to do this would have been considered slow for a teenager, for a 5 year old kid this showed just how much of a genius he was.
He asked his parents to not have to go to elementary school since he wouldn't learn anything there. His parents said they would agree if he agreed to 2 conditions. The first was to make some friends since they didn't want their child to be lonely. The second was to not reveal that he was already able to use magic. Because of this they decided to buy a magic tool that would hide his magic from any sensory tools or magic.
This turned out to be unnecessary. Most magic tools or magicians focus on the heart to see how much magic a person had. But because Akira's magic was stored in his abdomen it wouldn't be sensed. Akira thought this was weird"The distance between the abdomen and the heart isn't big how would they not sense it?" "It isn't as weird as you think." Daisuke said. "The only reason i was able to adapt so quickly to where your magic was stored was this." He points at his eye which turned from a black color to a red with a circle and 3 tomoe. Akira looked at it in amazement. It was the first time his father had shown him his sharingan. Daisuke then went on to explain that sensory magic belonged to elementless magic or free magic. As the name suggests this type of magic doesn't require one to combine it with an element. While you would think this made the magic more accessible it actually did the opposite.
To use magic a person needs to visualise what kind of magic they want to use. Most people use chants but chants were often very long and revealed the magic you tried to use before you use it. So some scholar mages in the past decided to rethink how they would teach magic to students. They decided the best way was for students to remember the name of the magic and what it looks like. Most mages would still need to say the name of the magic but this would still massively cut down the time to needed to use a magic.
That however was the exact reason free magic became difficult to use. Humans can't see mana therefore they can't really visualise what free magic would look like as easily. Luckily free magic has limited uses one of them being sensing magic signatures. There were two ways of using this one of the magic is called {mana sense}. This allows the user to sense all the creatures who have mana around him. The range of this depends on the user's mana control. Thanks to this people who aren't as talented in magic still have a chance to become adventurers in the form of scouts if they train their control enough. The second magic was called {mana measure}. This allows the user to precisely measure the targets mana power. However if the mana is spread out to much it wouldn't be able to measure the stored mana properly. That's why when this technique was used it would always be aimed right at the heart of the target.
Since Eichiro had told them Akira seemed to enjoy talking to Kaori they decided to ask whether she wanted to be schooled together with him. Normally not even nobles would be able to get into contact with the royal family this way. But due to the noblesse oblige Eichiro and Takeo became good friends and still are to this day. The noblesse oblige was a law that forced nobles to work as an adventurer for at least 2 years before they are 25. This is mainly to make the noble children of less arrogant. Because Eichiro and Takeo were similar in age they both fulfilled there noble oblige at the same time. Because they battled alongside each other they became close as brothers. Thanks to this when Eichiro proposed to Takeo to have their children learn together he instantly agreed and asked Kaori if she was ok with it. Her father didn't mind it because he and Daisuke grew up as brothers and just like their parents they fulfilled their noblesse oblige together. Kaori herself was glad she could meet up with Akira again.
The lessons were followed in the Uchiha mansion and taught by Hana since she had been teaching Akira for a long time. Hana and Kaori got along very well. Both of them being intrigued by Akira probably helped a lot with this to. When there weren't any lessons they would talk about all kinds of stuff like which flowers they thought were pretty or cooking. When Kaori tasted the cookies Hana and the other maids made she wanted to learn how to make them herself.
In the first few lesson Hana would only be teachingKaori some of the things Akira had already learned while Akira would train his martial arts. Daisuke decided that he wanted to give the lessons about magic and martial arts himself. This was mostly because he wanted to see his son improve. In some of the lessons Aiko would join so she could give her experience on managing the Uchiha household.
In today's lesson Daisuke would finally teach them their first magic spell. He had a wide variety of spells to choose from since Akira was able to use all elements and Kaori was able to use 5 elements being wind, fire, earth, water and light. Daisuke could use wind, fire , earth, water and lightning so he wouldn't be able to help them with light or darkness elements but he was very skilled in the elements he could use. He first started by explaining how magic worked.
To use magic a person has to visualise the spell they want to make. Once they do this they need to take the appropriate amount of mana for that spell. Use to little mana and the spell won't have a strong enough effect and use to much and you risk injuring yourself. Then if you want to use magic of a certain type you would have to combine an element with your mana. This is also where free magic gets it's name and another reason it is so difficult to use. In ordinary magic when you combine your element with your mana the mana calms down. However in free magic you need to control your mana in a pure state in which it is wilder. Magic types also get stronger depending on the situation the caster is in. If the caster finds himself in a place influenced by fire like a volcano their fire magic becomes stronger. The same goes for all the elements. While you might think this makes lightning and fire magic less useful in a normal situation you are wrong. Each element has it's own uses in which they excel.
Fire magic has very high offensive power and good for attacking a larger area.
Lightning magic is also an offensive magic however it is a lot more precise and faster making it better for singe targets.
Wind magic is mainly used to make the user more agile or increase projectile speed.
Earth magic is often used to quickly make a camp when on a long trip or can quickly make a defensive wall in a battle.
Water is can be used as a way of eliminating a large group of enemies inside of a building or destabilising an enemies footing.
Light can be used in a similar way to lightning however it is more often used at longer ranges and in sneak attacks.
And finally darkness can be used to conceal the user or blind an enemy.
The differences between holy magic and demonic magic aren't major. In a fight between demonic fire and holy fire if the users are equally strong the fight will end in a draw. However demonic water is stronger against holy fire than holy water is against holy fire. And finally if one manages to combine demonic magic and holy magic they will experience a major boost in that element this however has only happened once because not only do you have to be able to control the demonic and holy side of an element you need to balance them perfectly.
