Surviving

The next morning Alfin woke up and climbed down the tree, he was hungry again so he took a piece of meat again from the monster's thigh to roast and eat. It took quite some long time to start the fire again, after eating he was thirsty he did not had a single drop of water from yesterday, he had to look for a water source.

But before going for searching water source he took out the whole thigh bone of the monster with much effort as it could be helpful in defending himself, he could use it as a baseball bat it would be more useful than kitchen knife he had while facing against a monster. If he faced a monster same size as this one he would surely be dead this time, but if he faced any monster around his size he could at least defend himself and run.

Alfin said bye to this place and started his journey in search of water, he walked for some time when he heard loud thuds, he understood it was a monster that he could not face against. Though the sound was coming from far away it was still loud and clear, he started running in the opposite direction of the monster to avoid it any cost. But suddenly he heard a squeaking noise coming from his behind, he turned only to see a rodent type monster whose size was bigger than a dog in earth. It started chasing Alfin blindly and closed the distance between them very fast as it has four legs and Alfin only two.

The rodent monster pounced at Alfin as it got too close to him, in response Alfin suddenly turned and swung the bat made out of monster's thigh with all his strength at the rodent monster. The rodent monster was knocked out in one hit, and Alfin started walking again in search of water source again. As Alfin was a fitness freak he had very athletic body and he trained hard in gym to make his body ripped so he had very good stamina and strength, he was 26 years old and a regular salaryman.

He had lived a lonely life, he was not much of a talker because of which he did not have any friends and those who tried to make friends with him were repelled because of the lack of response he gave to them. He was a orphan, he lived in a orphanage till he was 17 then he went to college where his results were mediocre but he got a job after graduation luckily. And he got hooked up with gym when he went to college. He did not miss a single day in the 9 years he started gym.

Alfin walked aimlessly for a long time in between he also fought many small monsters and ran away from the monsters he could not face, luckily he did not got any injuries. He heard sound of water falling from very high altitude which means there was a waterfall nearby, he climbed a tree to get a better view, he saw the small mountain from where the sound of waterfall was coming. He started walking towards the waterfall. He had to be careful because many monsters would also be on their way to the waterfall for drinking water. He would be quite unlucky if he encounters a big monster.

Alfin walked towards the waterfall carefully watching his surroundings, when he finally reached the waterfall he took big gulps of water as he was thirsty for quite a long time. After drinking water he started observing the waterfall just above the stream of water where the water was falling from great heights he saw a natural cave and out of curiosity he thought he should go and check it. Though getting inside the cave would be tough as the water from waterfall was falling near it, he would get injured if water falls on him with that much force but also the rocks nearby were very slippery.

Alfin went near the area of waterfall then went underwater to reach the area nearby the cave which was not easy as the force from waterfall was just above him and it was pushing him backwards, but through persistence he reached the area nearby the cave. The cave was very wide, the entrance of the was so big that two trucks could enter through it. He tried climbing up to the cave but he fell down two times before finally getting up to the cave. The cave was a little dark but he could still clearly see a little.

But when he saw what was in front of he was rooted to the ground and his back was drenched with cold sweat as he saw a 20 m snake coiling in front of him. The first thought that came to his mind was to run back and jump back in the waterfall, but could he do that in front of this gigantic snake. He was regretting now that he came to this cave.
