Snake cave

Alfin heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that it was just a carcass, but it still looked majestic and deathly to him. The cave was very big just like an auditorium open and wide, he thought he could stay in this cave for a while as it will be safe from monsters because it was tough to spot the cave and the only monster who could come in was the dead resident of the cave, because the monsters here are rather dumb who only think about eating everything than came in there sight they would not even try to come in this cave.

Alfin knew that moving in this forest will only kill him fast, so he though he would stay here for a while and understand this world. But going out and coming in the cave was an arduous task, he thought he could handle it. He made a perfect plan to live in this area, he would kill small animals that came to drink water in the stream and he will inspect the surrounding areas in search of portal and will come back to this cave for a good sleep.

From the next day it became his routine of killing any small monster he could kill that came to drink water at stream, he would roast it and eat it also he had gotten proficient in starting fire now. He spend the rest of the day hiding from monsters and searching for portal, and at night he came back to the cave for a good night sleep. He took out two small bones from the snake's carcass to use them like daggers which could only be used for stabbing.

In one month Alfin has become used to killing monsters, and also he noticed the changes in his body. He has become strong, stronger than before he came to this world, being a gym freak he noticed the change in his strength easily and the only reason for this could be his diet, in which he ate monsters meat. Now he did not want to leave this area because it provides him regular prey and the cave was very comfortable to live in except for the sound from the waterfall. He had even made a bed from dry grass.

Alfin was living comfortably here, his time here was much more interesting than his time on earth, he had read many novels of this type so he thought it was his time to shine. Now as he was getting stronger he moved to bigger prey for his lunch, he hade made many primitive weapons like spear from a long thick stick by sharpening its head and also made many traps in which he caught many small monsters. He noticed that he could eat much more than before, he could eat a whole small monster in one go which was a size of goat on earth. And these small sized monster could not pose him any threat, so he thought he should hunt some strong monsters.

He came to the theory that the stronger the monster are their meat will make him more strong as the small monster meat made him quite strong, when he was on earth he could lift up to 300 pounds and after living her for a month and eating monster meat now he could lift up to 400 pound. That was a significant increase in strength that was not possible when he was in earth and now he was thinking to get more strong by killing more strong monsters and eating their meat.

Usually he has not seen any big or strong monster coming to this area for drinking water, so he had to go deeper in the forest to hunt strong monsters. If it was one on one Alfin could defeat some medium sized monster which was not bigger than a cow by beating it to death by the bone bat which he took from the monster which swallowed him, but if he met a monster which was fast and strong he would be dead for sure. But still he wanted to take the risk to get strong and the monster meat was very tasty too even without any seasoning.

Alfin has also noticed that there were no fruits on trees, that means basically all the monsters are carnivorous so he had to be careful, he could also become monster food if he was not careful. One thing that was good for him that the monsters of this world does not like to roam in hordes, if the monsters roam in horde he would have not lived till now. After making a plan in his mind he went back to the cave to sleep and from tomorrow on he will go to hunt some strong monsters.
