Chapter 108

It took me a couple of eye-blinking moments to recover from the weightiness of Humberto's utterances.

"What has change got to do with any of this, Berto?" I blurted.

"I don't know, Gus. You tell me. This is mum we are talking about here. Mum, Gus, our mum. You just sounded rather weird a couple of minutes ago."

Okay, maybe I had sounded somewhat off in my earlier response though. It is quite understandable that he would react this way.

In my defense, she has been very mean to me recently. So...

"Yes I know we are talking about mum, but she has been a major pain in my throat for a while, now." I reminded him.

He said nothing in a hurry. 

"So don't blame me for getting a bit hysterical okay, she has been putting me under a lot of unhealthy pressure." I added. 

"Well I understand your pains, but you two can't go against each other forever." Humberto's words.
