A night on the Sea

Throughout the night I tossed and turned, struggling to fall asleep on the thin, old bed. I sighed and sat up. I blinked and pulled a piece of straw from out of my hair. I felt the waves splash against the ship as I stood up. I glanced at the bed next to mine, which was completely empty.

"Seth?" I mumbled looking around. I thought for a moment and quietly walked out of the small room.

I walked out onto the deck and took in a deep breath. I could smell the salt in the air as I looked up at the sky filled with stars. "Why aren't you in bed?" Seth asked, standing behind me.  I jumped slightly and turned around. "I couldn't sleep. So I uh, came to find you" I said with a  sheepish smile. He chuckled lightly and held my hand. "Come on" He said walking towards the front of the ship.

I looked around curiously walking with him. We stopped at the front and I looked down at the water. "It's so quiet" I murmured.

He nodded glancing at me "Indeed it is" He mumbled.

I smiled slightly and looked at him. "Now, are you going to tell me where exactly we're going?" I asked.

He cleared his throat "Well I will soon, okay? I promise. I just need a little more time" He told me.

"Time? For what?" I questioned.

"You'll see" He said softly and gently squeezed my hand. I sighed "Okay" I said. He smiled and for the next fews hours we talked. We talked about all of our favorite things, we laughed together, and of course he made a few comments, dirty jokes, and flirted a bit. A night on the sea wasn't so bad. Mainly because he was with me.
