True Death

The next morning, Zoey exclaimed in surprise.

"Daron?!"

She had seen this knight in training who was supposed to be her knight in training personal guard, but this was her first time interacting with him. Furthermore, their meeting was in such an odd place, where she and her family was running away.

'No! This is a strategic retreat!' she roared in her heart.

"Yup. That is my name." Daron smiled at the surprised Zoey who he had met face-to-face for the first time. Currently, his smile was not directed towards Zoey, the little 6-year-old girl who was about to turn 7 in a month. His own birthday was also coming in 3 months. But he was not happy about that either.

What he was happy about was the upgrade of the main system. A new feature had been added to it; [Personal Space]

Now, his Main system had a total of 2 sub-features; [Combat system] & [Personal Space]

Just like the name suggested, Personal Space was basically what Daron had been missing all this time; a special storage.

As soon as he got this, he did not listen to Sirious' full explanation and bombarded her with a series of questions which he knew were important for such special storages, but that main characters always failed to ask.

'Is there any cost of using it? How much can it store? Can it store living being? Can other's find/enter/steal/look into it? Is time frozen inside? Can it expand further? How do I use it?'

These were all the important questions he had known at the time, and Sirious patiently answered each of them one by one.

[There is no cost of using this. It has a space of 1m cubed. Nothing living can be stored within in its current form. That information is something I am unable to tell you currently. However, nothing within this plane can even sense the existence of this space, not to mention look into it or steal things from it. Yes, time is indeed frozen inside. Yea, it will expand a little with every system upgrade of the main system. To send something in it, you only need to come into direct contact with it and thing about sending it over, and to bring it out, you merely need to thing about bringing it out. Bringing things out from the inside allows you to also chose a location within 2 meters of yourself in any direction as the location where it will come out.]

Back to the present time, Angela ad Roselle also noticed Daron who was standing in front of the surprised Zoey while smiling.

Suddenly, they both rushed to him and asked him many questions instantly.

"How is Zack? What happened in the city? How are you here? What happened to Fals and Grey?"

Daron simply nodded and waited for the two ladies who were at quadruple his age to calm down before speaking.

"Some unknown official knights dressed in black armour attacked the city. According to my observations, there seemed to be two official knights, and an intermediate knight. There also seemed to be an extremely powerful magical beast, presumable at Rank 2. However, it seemed rather strong for Rank 2, so it cannot be a weak Rank 2 beast, which makes it easily on par with Rank 12 Official knights. Master Zack and Grey went to fend these two Intermediate level threats. On the other hand, Knight Fals was stationed to protect me while I advance, while knight Bob was stationed to protect you. Since the situation had become difficult since you lives could have been in danger, Knight Bob made the decision to escort you to safety. However, at this point, the two official Rank knights attacks Knight Fals at the same time, and injured him to the point of near death." Daron recalled everything that the System had recorded while he was advancing.

Hearing this, all the three ladies gasped. Although they did not understand about the actual power levels of knights, they knew that Zack was an intermediate knight, who had to face 2 enemies at the same level as himself, while only a weak; in comparison to the level of the enemies, official knight Grey was helping him. They also gasped at the painful realisation the Fals, who had been Zack's youngest and most talented disciple, was near death.

"Thankfully, I was able to successfully become an official knight at this point. With this power, I was able to kill one of those black knights, while injuring the other slightly ad making him escape."

"However, before I could do anything else, Knight Fals told me to leave everything and find the escape route you guys used, find you, and help you successfully escape. He also told me not to worry about Master Zack and Knight Grey, since the master had his own methods of escaping, and was only battling the enemies since his family could be in danger. He also told me to destroy the teleportation gate, which I told those guards at the treasury to do from their side, while I did the same when I came over to this side. After that, I ran and followed your footsteps and found you guys last night."

"What happened to knight Fals?!" Asked Roselle, who seemed to have fully composed herself after hearing the confidence knight Fals had in her son.

A complicated expression appeared on Daron's face as he felt slightly sad as he pulled out the official knight's badge the signified being an official knight of the Bard family and handed it to Roselle, whose calm hands suddenly began trembling, before bowing to the rest of the members of Bard's family based on the etiquette he had learned up till now and walked towards Knight Bob.

"I had to tell them."

Bob simply looked at Daron with bloodshot eyes. This was the first time he was also hearing the news of Fals' death. Although he knew that this would happen, he still could not accept it. After a few moments of struggling internally, he sighed and a single tear ran across his left check as he let out a long sigh, that condensed into slight fog in the cold air.

"I know."

While Bob also turned around and looked towards the woods, both Daron and himself could clearly sense the ladies behind them had collapsed onto the ground, crying.
