Plan

As soon as he noticed it, it pulled back and Daron heard the old man's voice from the outside.

"Great! You sensed it! Just great!"

Daron pulled himself out of his subconscious, and opened his eyes.

[New form of vision has been created]

Before Sirious could fully complete her statement of asking him for its name, Daron excitedly named it 'Mana Vision'.

"Great. Now, you must choose a spell to learn. However, remember that spells are the core of your magic. Your affinities are as follows: Fire and Space are the highest affinity; you also seem to be having some amount of true dragon blood within you. Lastly, you are a transferred soul which creates that sliver of white."

"With this, you can choose to follow one of three paths as I had told you before. You can become an elemental mage following either fire or space magic, a bloodline mage like most draconians following the path of pulling out the full potential of your bloodline. Or you can, follow the unknown path that is part of your transferred soul from that unknown plane."

"I have already made my choice."

"Brat. I am warning you. Mages have long lives, but not long enough for you to follow everything. You will never grow past a beginner apprentice at this rate if you chose to follow all the paths."

[Master Daron. Traitorous is right. It will be nearly impossible to follow all paths as one person, even if I help. At best, you can choose to become a dual elemental mage using the elements of fire and space, while simply allowing your bloodline to grow on its own. This, will still slow down your growth and based on my new understanding of mana and the knowledge of mages, you would require 20 years to become an Intermediate mage, and another 40 years to become Advanced. Another 50 years would be required to reach pseudo-mage level, and an unknown amount of time would be required to reach Mage rank 1.]

"Tch. Fine. I will give up on that useless unknown path with random potential and stuff since it sounds too weak to be of any help. I will also give up on my bloodline, letting it grow over time on its own."

As he said that he could feel Bloodline Inheritance wriggling violently as though throwing a tantrum.

"But, I will stick with being a dual elemental mage of fire and space. I will also continue my knight training."

"Tch. Such potential, completely wasted." However, Traitorous just sighed after some rebuking. He knew, that once a mage had made up his mind with a firm heart, forcibly changing that decision might affect his state of mind thereby affecting their future potential.

"Fine then. Stat with fire first. You need to also increase your mana. Here, this is a basic mana accumulation technique, and a basic fireball, the most basic of spells. However, you have to repay me with 5 magic crystals each."

Daron simply nodded and snatched the two from traitorous before rushing to his room and reading through it.

[Unable to optimize or improve due to lack of understanding.]

'How do I get you understanding?'

[Impossible with the current possibilities. Master, you will have to learn this on your own.]

'Tch. Wait, what if I upgrade you using that energy?'

[There is a 0.1% chance that an upgrade would result in the outcome you wish for it to become.]

'But it's possible?'

[Yes.]

'Then it is decided! We are going to the energy site.'

The next day, Daron told the old man he would be going for a trip for a few days. He also took some coins with him and left without giving the old man the chance to retort.
