Keegan's POV

I rubbed my bruised forehead and just watched as the other kids were playing baseball. One time the ball was about to hit my mom but my dad caught it without even looking at it and my mom didn't even flinch when my dad caught it.

"It's like as if you dad has a sixth sense." said Conor

"He has 8 damn senses." I said

"8?" questioned Conor

"He can sense things while he's sleeping, he always wakes up whenever I try to do something at night. He can sense things coming straight for him even when he's doing something else and other things, it's crazy." I said

'Yet I'm not as good as him, not even close but I will beat him.'

"When did you move here?" I asked

"3 days ago." replied Conor

"Must be nice being the President's son." I sighed

"It's really not, I usually have to be in a room with a secret service agent." said Conor

"Well at least you have a dad who cares, my dad wouldn't do that." I said

"Oh." replied Conor

"Do you have a shooting range?" I asked

"We have one in our basement." said Conor, "I use it whenever I want to."

"You don't need your parents permission?" I asked, "I need to ask my dad if I want to."

"Oh I did earlier." said Conor, "Let's go."

I nodded so I got up and went into the mansion and walked towards this basement and he opened it. We walked down the stairs and we got to this wide open basement but Conor continued to lead me towards this room and when we entered there was nothing in. But Conor closed the door and he approached a switch and then he pried it open and there was another switch inside. He flips the switch and reattaches the regular light switch back on and once he does that the floor starts to descend down like an elevator and another floor closed above us as we descended.

"What's the floor for?" I asked

"Oh if anyone does break in and comes into this room it would look like a normal room." replied Conor

"This house just amazes me." I said

We hit the last floor and there was a door in front of us so Conor started pressing some buttons on this panel next to the door and then it opens revealing a giant shooting range probably the size of a track field.

"Here an HK 443, my dad told me that your dad used this in his early days of service." said Conor

He handed me the gun and it was a rifle that looked like an ACR, it had an angled foregrip with a tactical suppressor, it had a different barrel with a hologram sight. I cocked the gun and began firing at metal dummies hitting all of my shots with Conor.

"When are you getting deployed?" asked Conor

"Tomorrow." I replied

"Do you think you'll be fine?" asked Conor

"Yea I'll be fine, I'm always fine." I replied

2 hours later

Ashley's POV

"Corporal Ashley, report." called out Captain Gabi

"Captain Braun." I replied, "Nothing to report."

"Nothing at all?" asked Gabi as she raised an eyebrow

I don't know why but Gabi gives off the evil psycho vibe.

"I uhhh-"

"Corporal Ashely Jaeger." snapped Gabi as she stood up and approached me until we were an inch away and she stared me down.

'Oh shit.'

I started sweating, not wanting to make eye contact with her.

"I made you squad leader because you requested it, were you goofing around during patrol?" she asked

"No Captain, I did not." I responded trying to sound confident

"Then why is there nothing to report?" asked Gabi

"Because there wasn't a single event that happened today that I thought was necessary to report." I replied

Gabi glared at me and I grabbed the side of my pants tightly to calm myself.

"Okay then, I have a mission for you." said Gabi

She grabbed a file from her desk and shoved it into my chest.

"Make sure you report back to me immediately once you're done." said Gabi, "And remember, the prince is with you."

"Yes ma'am." I replied

"Dismissed." she simply replied

I quickly saluted and she just nodded so I dropped it and quickly left the room. Outside, Damion, Thomas, Milo and Kyle were waiting anxiously.

"What happened?" asked Kyle, "I hope my aunt wasn't too harsh."

"Nothing happened, she just scolded me a bit." I replied

Milo drummed his fingers on his gun as he hugged it as if it was his child.

"We have a mission though." I said as I opened the file and began reading the paper

"Looks like we're going to interfere with a gun trade." I said, "We leave now."

I handed Damion the files and he examined it.

"Looks like it's a piece of cake." said Damion

"Don't get so cocky." I said

"I'm not." replied Damion as he got in the humvee

I put the files inside my vest, the new vest we had to use was different from Sentinels. We now use a metallic vest that could be penetrated by 5.56 if the bullet hits a certain spot. It still protects us all the time, there's just a slight chance it'll penetrate. The queen was to keep the Sentinel corps a secret from the world since we're the only ones who know about them that's why we got rid of bolt bullets, we still have them though.

I quickly grabbed my gun and entered the humvee next to Damion who was driving the humvee away. I quickly tied my blonde hair into a bun and put on my helmet and cocked my custom MPX and attached a suppressor.

"Let's get this over with and hurry back to report to Captain." I said

Damion started driving away towards the mission point.

"Ashley get some sleep, it's going to take a while." said Damion

"I'm fine." I replied

We drove for about an hour until we got to our destination, we got off and began to walk through a couple buildings until we found a good overwatch.

"The deals going to happen down that street, Thomas, Milo, Kyle I want you to find another overwatch point. We have 20 minutes before they get here." I said, "We do not engage, we only hear the conversation, nothing else."

The three of them nodded and left me and Damion to set up. I pulled out my binoculars and watched as Milo quickly set up a small microphone and hid it in some rubble and quickly went inside a building.

I laid on the ground and looked through a hole in the wall and we waited for 20 minutes but no one pulled up.

"Are we in the right place?" asked Damion

"Yes we are, we'll call it in if no one comes in the next 10 minutes." I said

We waited another ten minutes but no one came.

"Alright Damion call it in." I said

"Wait wait, vehicles approaching." called out Thomas through my earpiece

I looked through my binoculars and saw cars turn the corner and stop at the target point.

"Three jeeps." I whispered

"One jeep is approaching from the east." said Kyle through my earpiece

"Just one? Be careful they might have snipers positioned out here." I replied

A white jeep pulled up and then two women came out, one had white hair and was wearing some formal clothes while the other had black hair and looked like her bodyguard. She had an eyepatch on her right eye and had military gear on.

"Can you identify them?" I asked

"No I can't see their faces." replied Damion

That's when the people inside the three jeeps that came first came out.

"It's the fucking taliban." I replied

"Ms Yumi, it's been long." said a man

"Yes it has Mr Abad, I hope this civil war isn't burdening you." said the white hair woman

"Ms Yumi, did you get that?" I asked

"Everything's recording." said Damion, "I'm always a step ahead."

"Shut up." I whispered

"Do you bring the money?" asked Mr Abad

"Well that's what I fear." said Yumi

That's when she suddenly raised her arm and guns began to blaze. The talibans were all dropped and killed except for Mr Abad who was shot in the leg.

"You bitch!" yelled Mr Abad

Men in gear began to come out and I supposed that they were all on Yumi's side. But then I saw a kid soldier with brown hair among them, and he was holding an ACR but then he turned and looked at me.

"Shit is he looking at us?" asked Damion

"I don't know." I replied

That's when the boy turned and looked over to the east.

"Shit the boy is looking straight at us." said Kyle

That's when I saw a light flash and my eyes widened.

"Damion sniper!" I yelled

I rolled away from the hole just in time to avoid getting shot. Damion also rolled away and took cover behind the window frame.

"Fall back, meet us back at the humvee." I said through my earpiece

"Moving." replied Kyle

"Let's move Damion." I said

We both ran out of the room and down the staircase and we began to run through buildings trying to avoid the streets. Damion was running in front of me and he looked back at me.

"Why can't we engage?" he asked

"We were ordered not to." I replied

But then before Damion turned the corner someone kicked him and he fell onto the ground.

"Damion!" I yelled

But then the same person tripped me and I too fell onto the ground. I quickly rolled away and aimed my gun at the assaulter, it was that bodyguard, the woman with black hair and an eye patch.

She quickly ran to the left and suddenly to the right and stabbed my stomach. I gasped in pain as she pinned me against the wall. I tried to fight back but she was so fucking strong, probably just as strong as my mom. I hit the woman's arm forcing her to let me go then I grabbed the arm she was holding the knife with and then kicked both of her legs making her fall. But she rolled away and got up and rushed towards me so I pulled out my knife ready to fight her.

"Evelyn that's enough!" called out a woman's voice in japanese

'Japanese?'

The woman who was fighting me stopped running and slowly backed up and I collapsed onto the ground. I had to make sure not to regenerate so that these people don't know who I really am. Someone threw Damion against the wall next to me and they all pointed their guns at us.

"Damion you okay?" I asked

"Oi oi be quiet." said a man who looked like he was around his late 40s with a cigarette in his mouth.

Damion looked at him then back down at the floor.

"We have more." said another soldier

I saw four more men come with Kyle, Milo and Thomas. Kyle's arm was bleeding and they pushed the three of them against the wall next to us.

"Look they're Eldian." said a soldier with blonde hair

"I know him, he's the prince of Eldia. Can't believe that the king would allow that." said another soldier

"We should kill them." said the woman named Evelyn

"No, I have a better idea." said Yumi

"Huh?" questioned the man with the cigarette

That's when Yumi looked down at me.

"Her." she said

Evelyn grabbed the collar of my vest and picked me up and pinned me against the wall, my legs were lifted off the ground hanging helplessly.

"Ashley." gasped Damion

He tried to do something but they all cocked their weapons causing Damion to sit back down.

"You must be the squad leader." said Yumi in English

I just looked at her then back at Evelyn.

"Yes." I replied

"Here's a deal I'll make with you." said Yumi, "You give us the recording and I'll let you all go."

I looked back at Yumi then at my squad mates.

"How can I trust you?" I asked, "Cause the way I see, you didn't keep your deal with Mr Abad."

I smirked a bit.

"If you're after the recording then tough shit, it's already sent to HQ. Even if I did hand over the recording you would have still killed us because you didn't want any witness or information leaked." I said

Yumi then smiled, catching me by surprise.

"I like you, very intelligent." she said, "Let them all go."

"Yumi." said Evelyn

But Yumi nodded so Evelyn let me and the others go so we cautiously walked away and back to our humvee.

"Shit, that was a close fucking call." said Thomas as we entered the humvee and drove away

I let myself heal and sighed in relief.

"How am I going to explain this to Captain Gabi?" I sighed
