The hunt pt.2

"And it's really annoying of you to take me as someone so weak."

Multiple gunshots fired as Lycan's dropped dead one by one. The three remaining Lycans scattered afraid. They had never seen an effective weapon like that and that part wasn't even their bigger concern. A human that could regrow his arm and not die from just sheer pain.

'What is he?' The question ran through all their heads.

"Playing hide and seek, huh." Howard smiled sinisterly, as he walked around the Villa slowly, "You know just the last time I had to run off felt humiliating enough and now you've done it and pissed me off even further."

*Bang* *Bang*

A Lycan dropped downed from the wall whining.

"You know I just wanted to talk and kill you all peacefully but you had to go and tear my arms off." Howard walked around casually grinning, "You know even though the thing grows back, it still hurts like shit. You should understand you all are immortal as well, well semi-immortal in the very least."

A Lycan jumped behind him as it grabbed his head smashing it into the floor again and again. Howard didn't stop and like a psychopath, he twisted his arm around almost to the point of breaking and shot the werewolf off of him. Standing up he cracked his neck back in place as his hands which were just twisted and broken by the gun's recoil healed immediately. He stepped on the Lycan's head shooting him again and again till the ammo ran out.

Howard sighed as he had run out of silver nitrate bullets and the ones he was left with were the normal silver bullets. He turned around looking around the villa searching for the final Lycan with a stoic expression. "How about this, you give me my friend back and I'll let you go. I'd rather not waste my time."

There was no answer as Howard felt something behind him as he immediately shot towards the source of the sound but he missed due to the Lycan's speed. "Let's end this quick, I know that you're hiding behind that chandelier, so get out!"

The Lycan didn't move as he shot the Lycan more but being used to the rhythm the Lycan dodged but one of the bullets finally hit its leg causing it to fall down like a dead cockroach. It growled on the ground but didn't die immediately.

"I wonder if you're lucky or not." Howard came down the stairs as he shot the werewolf some more, hitting it mostly on the joints and avoiding its major organs, "I am out of silver-nitrate bullets so you wouldn't die with just this unless I hit at a point you can't recover from but why would I do that when I have a live subject to experiment on. So many things I could do with you. Turn back I need to speak with you."

The Lycan did as he was told as he coughed blood but he still had a grin on his face. "Last time I am asking, where's Roman?"

"I am sure he's digested by now, so wait for me to take a huge shit." The Lycan grinned, "What's the matter? Do you think we will keep him alive?"

"Of course you would." Howard said in a chilly voice shooting another bullet at his clavicle, "Guessing from your leader's plan, I figure he stayed here to turn me into a Lycan even though he was well aware that the Death Dealers already knew about your locations. So if he wanted to gain favor from me, he would keep my friend alive as a show of goodwill."

The Lycan growled angrily but didn't say anything as Howard shot another bullet.

"The basement! Fuck!!" The Lycan growled.

"See that wasn't so hard, was it?" Howard shot another bullet completely immobilizing the man as he walked towards Selene first.

"I guess it would be a stupid question to ask if you're okay." Howard joked picking up Selene slowly watching the deep wound in her stomach, "Any last wish?"

"What are you?" Selene said with a little smile,

"Let me reintroduce myself again, I am Howard Smith, an 87-year-old pretty boy who is a renowned businessman, arms dealer, aviator, engineer who also happens to be a bit of a living undead," Howard said.

"I am still older than you though."

"No worries, I am into women older than me especially the ones that don't look like total grandmas." Howard joked as he pulled Selene closer whispering into her ears, "You know what to do."

Selene glanced towards Howard as she brought out her vampire teeth biting into his neck. It went on for a long time, as they both embraced each other, and Selene kept sucking him dry, which wasn't as dirty as it sounded. Normally Howard would have passed out a long time ago from blood loss but due to his ability, he was like a walking infinite supply of blood bag.

Selene finally let go of Howard, as she checked the wound in her stomach which was completely healed as she looked back at the puncture wound on Howard's neck that quickly closed up. "You really are weird."

"You shouldn't be saying that with blood dripping over your lips," Howard said as he wiped the blood off her using his fingers, "You are beautiful. Or is it weird of me to say that with all these dead Lycan's around?"

Selene shook her head getting used to his antics, "Shouldn't you save your friend?"

"I guess I should." Howard sighed standing up, "Look out for that Lycan for me, will you?"

A moment after Howard brought out Roman who looked a bloody mess as he probably was tortured. "Took you a while."

"I had to be prepared." Howard chuckled, "After all, without it, I am not sure I could even save you without them tearing me apart."

"I will be expecting some extra payment for keeping my mouth shut," Roman said as he sighed bitterly, "Hey do you think there are more of these things out there in the world."

"Probably and there are even somethings more dangerous than them out there," Howard said as he nodded at Selene and put Roman down, "So better not think about all of it for now."

Roman sighed as he looked at Selene, "I guess God really did answer your prayers. I just don't understand why do I have to be the one to get tortured for your sake."

"We're friends, after all." Howard smiled as he headed out of the villa with Selene, "So what are you planning on doing now?"
