Three kids stepped out of a portal into a small room.
???: "Ah, you must be the new students..."
A man dressed in a white lab coat dully greeted the new students as if he was bored.
???: "Alright, you, come place your hand on this tablet will you"
Sis Lin: "And you are?"
???: "Huh? You better watch your tone with me you little brat. I'm the person who's gonna determine how your life goes at this place, so show me some respect."
'you need to respect others to earn respect, but what can we do, we're just little kids in his eyes after all.'
Chatty: "Ooo Ooo! I'll go! I'll go!"
Evaluator: "Woah, calm down kid. Just come put your hand on this tablet"
Chatty: "Ok!"
As chatty placed his hand on the tablet, it started to glow in a golden color.
Evaluator: "A special type 3-star power is it. Looks like you're gonna have a relatively peaceful time staying here, but kid, never forget that there's always a bigger fish."
Evaluator: "Alright little girl, you're next."
Li Lin also placed her hand on the tablet and it but this time it glowed green.
Evaluator: "A hybrid type 3-star. Looks like you'll also be fine."
Evaluator: "Now for the last brat."
'well, here goes nothing'
As I placed my hand on the tablet it glowed a golden color just like chatty's glow; however, the glow was significantly dimmer than chatty's.
Evaluator: "hahaha, looks like lady luck doesn't favor you one bit."
The evaluator then proceeded to laugh for a good 3 seconds before regathering his composure.
Evaluator: "Ahhh boy, you better brace yourself because you're gonna struggle a lot here: Special type 1-star ability. You'd better hope that your special type will make up for your power's lack of potential or else you won't amount to much in the world of Eccentrics."
After hearing the man's explanation, instead of falling into despair, Mo He was actually happy; at least he had an ability. As long as he had some type of power, he could make it work. Even if he had to work 100 times harder than others, he would not break the promise he made to himself in the last moments of his previous life.
Evaluator: "Anyway here are your holo-watches. they will help you with practically everything you need, as well as giving information about your Eccentricities."
After all three of them put their watches on, Lin and Chatty both gave Mo He concerned looks.
Chatty: "Don't worry Brainy, I've got your back! Nothing will happen to you as long as I'm around!"
Mo He was inwardly moved. He didn't think his friend cared that much about him since they had only met recently.
Evaluator: "What a naive way of thinking. You'll soon find out that this place isn't as simple as that."
Brainy: "Whatever old man. Chatty, Sis, let's get out of here."
Chatty and Sis Lin: "Ok!"
Meanwhile the old man was close to popping a vein. Apparently he didn't like being called "old man", especially by someone who was bursting with youth.

Chatty: "Um, two questions: where exactly are we and where are we going?"
Mo He shrugged
Brainy: "I dunno, I was just trying to get away from that old man in the lab coat."
Li Lin facepalmed to this.
Li Lin: "Well we can try going this way."
Lin pointed to a bright hallway
Brainy: "No way, this place is humongous. We would be lost for days if we were to just wander around. We should find a teacher or someone who knows where we're supposed to be. Before we go, we should share what each other's powers are so we can get to know each other better."
Following which, everyone holo-projected their power screens.

'Well this explains a lot. It explains how Chatty's hearing is so good and why his voice can be so loud at times. This sponge power also explains how I was able to become fluent in 6 languages so quickly. As for Sis Lin, her power is amazing as well, but I wouldn't have taken her for a water type. Her short pink hair doesn't seem in any way water related.'
When seeing my friends' excited expressions, I couldn't help but smile. We had all taken the first step to greatness.
After walking around for 10 minutes, we finally found a staff person to tell us where to go. The person then led us to their residence. Unfortunately, since Sis Lin was 5 years older than us we had to be separated for a while, but before we parted ways, we promised that we would meet again when the time was right. The staff person in charge of me and Chatty proceeded to tell us what we'd be doing for the remainder of our time at the academy until we reached high school. We'd go through schooling like in a normal school and we wouldn't be integrating anything Eccentric related into our education until high school. For some reason the school forbade the teaching of anything Eccentric related until we reached high school.
