Chapter Eighteen: Getting Involved

The next five months flew by.

In a hale of diapers and diaper rashes, quick stolen kisses and hushed rushed sex, the King-Choi household found its own way to normal with infant twins. Casse spent her time with what seemed to be a recurring event of trying to finish a workout video, hushing Rain so that Levi wouldn’t cry and trying to get them packed into or out of the car. Aiden had gotten her a Jetta station wagon to help get back and forth to Ma’s. That was where she was headed right now.

She hadn’t gone fully back to work, but made sure she was there for important gatherings and to generally oversee what the kitchen was putting out. Julius had left the house without saying anything after the news of she and Aiden’s marriage had gotten out and to everyone’s surprise, Chloe also left. Her aunt Magda, didn’t add anything to the narrative, so it was left as it was.
