Chapter 2: Arranged

A year later...

"You're going to be late for school!" My little sister greeted me with a continuous barrage of pillows. Squinting, I got up trying to suppress a frown. It was early in the morning and it’s already annoying.

"I already told you, right? I don’t want to attend classes today." I answered in frustration.

"And why is that? Want me to tell dad?" She threatened me, her arms akimbo, whilst staring at me with a frown.

"Tell him, then." Yawning, I shooed her away, yet she did not even bulge.

"Really? So it's okay for you to be grounded? He'll confiscate your phone, laptop and even credit cards for sure." She said while fanning herself using her right hand in a dramatic way.

Automatically, I rolled my eyes. How annoying.

"Fine. Just go." I responded in defeat. Heaving a sigh, I took a glimpse of her and guess what? She's now smiling with satisfaction etched on her angelic face.

"See ya!" She waved her hand and walked out of my room graciously. Meanwhile, I forced myself to get up and quickly took a bath.

It's been a month since I woke up from coma and suffered from amnesia. I have lost most of my memories and have difficulty taking in new information. Sometimes, it feels like I didn't know myself and everyone around me so my father suggested that we should migrate to Paris to change my environment to fully recover and to start anew.

He also told me that, according to the doctor, there is still a possibility that my memories will come back, however, they do not know when and how long it will take. Thus, I agreed on his proposal desperately wanting to pick every scattered pieces of memories I've lost.

I've been really curious about the incident since I couldn’t remember anything not a single thing, including my name. Neither my father nor my twin sister wanted to tell me what happened. Maybe they're just worried about me, knowing I'm a bit sensitive because of my condition. I hope I can remember anything regarding the bus accident. It's like I need to remember something but I couldn’t. I always end up having a severe headache.

My father's a famous lawyer so it's a piece of cake for him to take care of everything we need. Unsurprisingly, within two weeks, he managed to get a ticket and scheduled our flight right away. Now, we’re in Paris.

When I'm done getting myself ready, I took my phone and checked my RP account. This is the same Facebook account I found logged in in my phone after I woke up. At first, I thought Cyan Riverdale is my real name, but then after talking with my father and sister and when I explored the account and read posts and stuff about RPW I understood that the account was a roleplaying account and not my real Facebook account. I also learned a lot when I started to interact with other Role players and found myself enjoying RPW.

I bit my lower lip as I scanned through my messages.

Dang it, I don’t want to attend school today. I’m not in the mood to study and I don’t feel like going.

I really wanted to skip class and go somewhere nice. I smirked devilishly clicked our hood's group chat and quickly composed a message.

Zarnaih: Right now? What's with the sudden invitation?

After a long discussion, we all agreed to meet in the nearest mall. This is actually our first meet up after almost one month of getting to know each other, however, it is a little bit sad for those who are in faraway places and cannot attend our meet up.

When our family driver dropped me in front of our university, I hastily called for a taxi and instructed the driver to drop me to the nearest mall.

My twin will eventually know my whereabouts soon. I'll just have to bribe her with expensive clothes or bag and she'll shut her mouth up. I smirked.

"Here's your change, Madame!" Smiling widely, the taxi driver handed over my change but I didn't accept it.

"Keep the change, Sir!" I humbly smiled before closing the door and rushing to the comfort room to change my school uniform.

They should never know anything about me including what university I am currently attending, since it's one of the golden rules in RPW.

I don't know. Maybe for now, I'll follow the golden rules. It won't hurt to obey the rules, right?

I wore a simple sky blue off-shoulder dress, partnered by white wedge sandals. I retouched my make up so I won't look that haggard. For the final touch I wore few jewelries that would match my outfit.

"Ugh." I rolled my eyes when I carried my backpack. It doesn't even match my outfit but I do not have a choice I need to carry it around.

I roamed my eyes as I gently sat on the bench where we agreed to meet each other. It has been thirty minutes since I arrived and I tried scanning the whole place to spot where they are, but sadly, I saw no trace of them.

I uncomfortably shifted on my seat. Are they even coming?

I tried sending each one of them a private message, but they all replied that they won't make it because something came up.

My shoulders slumped in disappointment. Seems like I'm going to have a date with myself today. I let out a deep sigh.

"Cyan Riverdale?" A man in a sky blue polo suddenly approached me. The color of his shirt caught my attention. I'm also wearing a sky blue dress right now!

I was star struck for a second or two but managed to give him a gentle smile.

"Pardon?"

"It's me, Hint." He smiled widely. It showed his perfect set of teeth. He looks dashing, the color of his polo suits him well.

"I thought you won't make it?" I raised an eyebrow. He then cleared his throat.

"I don't know either. They all sent me a message saying I needed to attend our meet up. They did not even told me they won't be coming. I think they did this on purpose." He then chuckled.

"I remembered Ali, asking what color I will be wearing. I told her I'll be wearing a sky blue dress... did she told you to wear anything that's sky blue?" I curiously asked.

He nodded. "I think they set us up." He responded with a shrug.

"Oh no." I face palmed.

"It's okay. I didn't recognized you at first. I was actually standing in front of you for half an hour." His eyes smiled the moment his lips rose and curved into a beautiful smile.

"It's a bit awkward though... Well to be honest, I'm not used to hanging out with a guy alone." I frankly told him while playing with the strands of my hair to lessen the awkward atmosphere.

"The same goes for me." He chuckled as he loosely hung his hand on his pocket. "But it will be a waste if we didn't continue our plans, we're already here anyway."

"So?" I raised my eyebrow once again.

"Go out with me." He said, he did not even bother hesitating. My lips slightly parted, surprised of what he just said.

"Seriously?"

"I mean let's walk around and hang out like planned, since they're not gonna make it." He smiled awkwardly.

"Oh, right. Hang out." I replied. I stood up and begun to fix the crumpled part of my dress from sitting for half an hour. After that, I immediately hung my bag on my shoulder.

"Wait up! Where are you going?" Hint jogged towards me.

"Let's walk around first?" I suggested, I shifted my gaze to him and he just stared back at me with hopeful eyes.

"So it's a yes?" He moved his eyebrows up and down. I just rolled my eyes at him in response.
