"Well, Death. Take a seat. This shall take a while." He smirked as he waved his fingers. I looked over to see another throne form behind Death and he took his seat as Kronos began to explain the Greek history.
-
"You do realize if you hadn't eaten your children, things probably would have been different." I scratched my head at the long story.
"Be that as it may. I did what I did. I cannot change it." He stretched before finally standing.
"Honestly tho, if you had raised your children with love and compassion they wouldn't have wanted to overthrow you and even if they did, you probably wouldn't have been stuck here by yourself for so long." I stood up next to him.
"That's probably true but I cannot change what I did. It's in the past. It's literal ancient history. I was scared I'd be overthrown just as I had done to my father." He started walking and I walked along with him.
"If you showered your children with enough love then you wouldn't have worry though."
"You'd think that but you'd be surprised how many parents were killed by their children." Death chimed in making us stop walking and turn to him.
"That's not fair. Humanity was cursed. If they weren't then I'm sure no one would've done anything that bad."
"You're being really naive." Death crossed his arms.
"No I'm not. Since I've broken the curse there has been no homicide, hardly any crimes, and not to mention Aphrodite even said there's been more love then she's ever been able to record before."
"There still had been homicide. Specifically by vampires. Still, just because you relieved the curse on humanity doesn't mean the world isn't cured from evil."
"Excuse me but if a certain someone hadn't created the evil in the first place we wouldn't have to worry about it. When I get back to my life and I inevitably join the council I will turn it all around. The council already agreed to start leading with a kind and gentle hand because of the mercy I showed on Braxton. When I have the chance I can and will cure the world of actual evil." I crossed my arms feeling irritated at his ignorance.
"Can you actually deliver such a large promise?" Kronos stood next to Death intrigued.
"I can promise, if I had the help of the gods. It doesn't help that specific gods of war wants exactly that. What I think would work is anyone who has conflict be given the chance to fight for their belief in like a tournament type deal. Specifically anyone who believes in war. There's always the deal of someone wanting power. Gods are no exception."
"Can you elaborate on that?" Zeus dropped his hand on my shoulder making me jump.
"Dear god! Don't do that!"
"I'm right here. You were busy ranting about making a perfect world so you didn't hear me come in. You wanted to speak with me?" He looked to Kronos who had an amused smirk on his face.
"I want Elea to rule with me in Elysium." His smirk grew wide.
"What?!" Death Zeus and I harmonized in shock.
---Adams POV---
Only two more days till her Birthday. Were already in Italy just waiting it out at this point. Call it excitement or anxiety, whatever it was it was large and growing.
"Adam, relax. The council still has no idea about Renae or Jarrod. The twins are safe and your bride shall be returning shortly. Just take this time to lay back and relax before you have to go back to dealing with screaming pooping mini versions of yourself." Eros mocked me.
"I'm just anxious. Jarrods locked up at the school till we bring Renae back. Rosia has my children hidden till we know Jarrods safe to be around. Braxton and Jefferson are moving in together and Tyler even found a girlfriend. Renaes gonna be upset that she missed so much." I scratched my head as I walked away from the window.
"She'll just be happy to be home and back in your arms." He smiled as he stretched.
"Can we go for a walk or something?" I looked outside to see the clouds dancing in the sky.
"Sure. If it gets you to relax." He sat up and stretched.
"You can stay here if you want. I just want some fresh air." I grabbed my shoes and put them on quickly.
"That's quite alright. I haven't gotten some decent fresh air without stressing lately either. It could do us both some good." He smiled as he tucked his wallet and phone and keys in his pocket.
"Then let's go." I smiled as I opened the door.
-
"How far are we walking? At this rate we'll be in the Adriatic Sea!" Eros whined once again.
"I told you if you wanted to stay back at the hostel, you could have." I rolled my eyes and continued walking.
"I didn't think we'd be going for a marathon!" He shouted catching his breathe.
"Do you need a rest old man?" I laughed as I turned around.
"Yes. I need a refresher." He patted his throat letting me know exactly what he needed.
"Well, I'm sure there's a deer or something around here." I looked around at the empty spaces of grass and thin patches of trees.
"No. I need to go to a hospital or something. This animal blood doesn't last long." He sat on the ground as he looked up at the sky.
"Well.. hop on. We'll find the nearest hospital." He stood up and I turned around and knelt down to allow him to hop on my back and I carried him to the nearest hospital. Thanking my luck as we approached the small hospital I placed Eros on the ground and huffed.
"I wasn't that heavy." Eros lightly patted my shoulder. I shook it off and waved my hand for him to go.
"I'm going to go look for a deer. Enjoy your feast sir." I smirked and turned walking towards the nearest forest.
I searched the forest for a big deer and luckily I found a very large buck. It had scars showing people attempting to shoot it and I couldn't help but smile as I let it go. I knew Renae had a larger influence on me then I was willing to admit. I opted for a boar instead seeing how I couldn't find any other deer.
-
"One more hour. Shouldn't we get going?" I asked eagerly as we waited at the hostel.
"Adam it's only fifteen minutes away and I know we're going to be running so we don't need to leave for another fifty minutes. Just rest. We won't be getting any sleep tonight since we'll be waiting atop a mountain." Eros rolled his eyes in annoyance.
"I can't help it. Aren't you excited to get her back?" I felt all the emotions I had since she left rush back to me and roll into an overwhelmingly large ball of excitement.
"I am excited but we also don't know what time she'll show up or if Erebus will even actually let her go." He sat up and looked at me concerned making my ball of excitement shrink.
"She said she'll be here. I don't doubt her promises or abilities." I turned and walked to the window staring out at the dark sky.
"Should we really be out while Nyx is at her strongest? Doesn't she want Renae to stay as well?" I heard him get off the bed and walk towards me but I kept my eyes piercing out the window.
"I'm sure Renae won't allow anyone to stop her. I know she'll be there. I trust her." I began smiling knowing full well I'd see her within the hour.
We waited for the fifty minutes to pass and I was out that door faster then I had ever ran before. I stopped once I reached the mountain top and waited for both my bride and Eros to catch up. I watched the clock on my wrist as it slowly approached midnight and held my breath with anticipation as each hand ticked a little further and closer.
"Almost." I bit my lip and began pacing.
"Adam, relax. We don't know if we'll see her right away. We still have two more minutes till it's midnight." Eros tried calming me down.
"Eros, I know she'll be here because she was born exactly at twelve o' one. I know she'll be here. I can feel it." I kept my eyes on my watch feeling the agonizing pain slowly tick by as sixty seconds turned to forty, thirty, twenty, with each tick, time seemed to slow down even more. My impatience was peeking as I kept pacing staring at my watch and finally saw the two minutes drop to one.
"Come on.." I whispered as I turned on my feet and felt a sudden burst of cold air. My stomach sank when I knew this wasn't Renae.
"Boys, you've caused a lot of trouble for me." I shivered at the voice and slowly turned and felt every emotion possible strike me harder then I've ever been hit before only to see-
"Y-you.." Eros whispered in horror.
---Renaes POV---
"What?!" Death, Zeus and I harmonized.
"I'm sorry, you want me to what now?" I grabbed Kronos' shoulders and made him look at me. "You are sane right?" I asked concerned.
"Yes I am sane!...well mostly sane. Regardless I want Elea to rule with me. Not as my queen but as a partner of sorts. She can bring her family and she can make it her new home and since it's paradise, she'll be able to have happiness." He briefly smiled.
"Wait.. that gives me an idea.." Death spoke up grabbing onto my arm.
"What is it?" I asked him concerned.
"Well, you said if you had the chance, you would make the world better just as you said. Vampires have been the main issue with their violent nature." He paused and looked to Zeus excited.
"Would you spit it out!" Kronos grew impatient and raised his hand striking the back of Deaths head.
"Alright! Relax. What I'm saying is, what if we made a world similar to Elysium where just vampires lived. That way Elea would have the best chance of having a greater influence and if she's returned to the witch slash wolf slash vampire creature she was then she'd be able to have any and all influence over them." His excitement leaked into his aura as he jumped while explaining.
"That- might actually work.." Zeus raised his hand to his chin thinking.
"Excuse me but what? We're talking about thousands of, if not more-"
"More like hundreds of thousands. Maybe even millions." Zeus interrupted me.
"You don't like being interrupted so don't do it to me curly." I glared at him before taking a breath. "Okay as I was saying-"
"Pfft, curly? I've never heard that name before!" Kronos busted out laughing irritating me more.
"May I?!" I said impatiently. They halted their fit of laughter and looked at me.
"Sorry." Kronos and Zeus said simultaneously.
"Okay. What I'm saying is, if there's over maybe millions of vampires, how are they supposed to feed? What about the serum? And not to mention all the children including mine? So many vampires fight and kill for the simple fun of it. They'll start killing the weaker generations simply because they can. How am I supposed to protect anyone who's innocent?"
"You'll figure it out. You can place a spell or something so there would be no killing. If someone tried they'd be sent to Hades." Death shrugged his shoulders.
"And tell me how I'm supposed to do that?" I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"You are the most powerful witch, well were the most powerful witch on earth. I'm sure one of the witch covens will help you... maybe." Zeus scratched his head.
"You realize that's crazy right?" I couldn't hold my words back anymore. The longer we stayed in here I felt more like myself, free from the fear of no escape.
"Did you not say with the help of the gods, you'd be able to cure the world of evil. Why not start where the evil had started?" Kronos landed his hand on my shoulder.
