Chapter 5

Monday

I went to work like any normal day and got a wonderful call, I got a call from a mine that I wanted to wait before approaching. They wanted us to draw up a quote for them, I had asked my assistant to keep track of certain company communications coming through our lines so that I would be aware of certain mines and contactors that wanted to use our company for their needs. It was starting off as a great week. Or so I thought.

Wednesday came by and when I got home, I was greeted by a slap to the face. I did not know what I had done but it was bad, that much I knew.

“You’re cheating on us with your damn secretary, so damn cliché, the CEO and the secretary. What the hell Lee! We trusted you.” She cried “Marie is crying her eyes out in her room because of you. Explain now!”

“First, what are you on about? Second, I would never cheat on you two. Third, I’m hurt you would think this before even asking me if its true or not.” I spoke.
