Chapter 2

The youngest daughter of the Lords of Eldinne, Elijah Creta, wanders through the palace gardens, fleeing from her nurse, a somewhat stout woman, dark and with a strong but kind appearance, Glenda, who in anguish runs in search of her.

–Miss! Where are you?

The little girl walks and walks laughing, until she stops in a lonely maze made of the bushes that grow in the garden; she stops.

–Father said not to go in there. My brother is not here, he knows the way back– she huffs at not being able to enter the place so he goes to another part of the garden

The almost ten-year-old girl walks in silence until she notices a dazzling silhouette with long, wavy and black hair stands in the pavilion.

She is a lady with pale skin and eyes as blue as sparkling polished sapphire jewelry, just one look from that woman and her skin instantly bristles.

In the distance she looks intimidating with those eyes like bright beacons. Immediately, the little girl frowns.

–Who are you?– inquires with insecurity

The woman finally lets out a beautiful smile. And she approaches her.

–Don't be afraid, I will not hurt you, come join me– she extends her hand towards her

Little Elijah decides to follow her, and immediately sits opposite her.

–Why does a girl wander alone in the garden?– inquires

–Mother says that I am a lady, and that the ladies must know the castle perfectly– answers the girl moving her feet on the chair

Princess Say-Ka smiles, and the trace of that smile is erased at the thought that at any moment, she too will be separated from her beloved son.

What will happen to her when she is found? His aunt will not give up, she has stolen the Whispering Dagger, at least the kingdom will be safe for now, her abominable familiar will not try to commit a catastrophe and must continue that way; but she knows that even without the dagger, her aunt may be able to manipulate the soldiers of the Banner, she wonders if the protectors of the four elemental kingdoms have been able to seal her after her escape. Her mother insisted that even though her appearance had changed, she still had the essence of Arittre's children in her veins, so that anyone in the region who was close to her could find her, just as Benhard did a few years ago.

–I'm the princess Say-Ka, I'm from the Sapphire Kingdom– she says –What's your name little girl?

The redhead and abundant hair smiles at her childishly and opens her tiny mouth to reply

–My mother always says that I must to say my full name, I am Elijah Creta Eldinne– she says proudly

–It's a nice name. How old are you, Elijah?– inquires to the little girl

–I'll be turning 10 soon– respond quickly

Say-Ka smiles and soon that smile turns into an alarmed and horrified face.

The sound of horses at the edge of the gardens makes her heart beat wild and desperate. She puts a hand on his chest, Her son!

–Come with me, Elijah.

She takes the girl by the hand and sneaks into the bushes reaching the audience where they hide behind the stairs of the Great Hall. She lifts the fringe of her dress, and takes out a shiny sheath, and puts it in the girl's hands.

–Listen to me Elijah, never use the dagger to hurt anyone, never give it to anyone, you must always keep it safe; only use it if you are in danger– squeeze her little hands in the case of it

–But– Elijah is interrupted by Say-Ka

–Promise me– she demands

Faced with such intimidating intensity in her eyes, the girl nods.

–I promise you will understand everything when you are older. I hope that in the future, they never discover the secrets of the Elemental Realms, I hope there will never be war again– she says in a low voice

Determined, she separates from her giving a kiss on her forehead.

–Grow well, Elijah .. Nathaniel and you, I hope you meet.

–Miss Say-Ka– she only reaches to touch the material of her dress

For some reason, when the princess moved in her hair there was something different than that of the other nobles in her environment and that fascinated her and terrified little Elijah at the same time, not to mention those chilling eyes like cold jewels.

A crowd of nobles gathered at the great door of the hall, outside, a huge carriage adorned with the most expensive jewels strutted before them. There were murmurs and then silence.

–Bruno ..

–Yes, wife. They found her– muttered the King of Saizen

–What will we do? - she inquires

–What I should have done. Nothing– the princess responds to the words of the queen

–Say-Ka, we have to get out of here. Come on, I'll take you to a safe place– insists the queen taking her arm

The young woman denies.

–No, Great Mother. I can not longer run away– let go of her

The door of the pompous carriage opens and from it a court official, adorned in the most expensive suit of diamonds, extends a paper and ignoring the crowd, declares:

–“In the name of the Sovereign Matriarch of House Sapphire, you, Say-Ka Elatria, as payment for your betrayal of the Kingdom and your convictions, today, you will be executed, like a homeless dog, without the possibility of a fair trial”.

The Empress of Saizen looks at her worriedly but understands that she can do nothing now. The young lady steps into the crowd and stands in front of the officer.

–Here I am, do what you have to do– she murmurs

In the blink of an eye, the officer draws a diamond sword so sharp that when brandished it cuts Princess Say-Ka's neck, causing her to fall to the ground in her tracks.

–Justice has been served!– declares the officer

The Lords of Eldinne, look in horror at the scene, in their youth they were aware of the atrocious movements of the command of the Fifth Elemental Kingdom, the army called the Diamond Banner.

It was believed extinct due to the harshness of its commander but apparently someone of his descendants has come to life again.

Madam Alcila, Elijah's mother, takes her daughter away from there for the atrocious scene, the shocked crowd of noblemen recoils and the officer with an indifferent and expressionless look, returns to the carriage and some lower-ranking servants, pick up her body and carry it away. Without consideration.

The empress's cries are those that flood the room.

–Leilalí, we already knew this would happen.

–She was .. very young, Bruno– sobs

Far from there, the nobles murmur endless conclusions, yet all come to the conclusion that because of the silence of the royalty of Saizen and Eldinne, they harbored traitors. Beyond them, a confused Elijah clenches the dagger.

The evening that night ended with a disturbing bloodstain on the floor of the room and soldiers injured by a rare material that could only be distinguished as the diamond itself, no one could deny it, everyone was stunned by the beautiful but to the once terrible instrument; women screamed, men and young men silently watched the atrocity and harshness of the death of an unknown and apparently foreign noblewoman.

Leilalí could not help but continue in desperate tears, knowing that when she reached the fortress again, her little son with whirlwind eyes would ask again and again for his mother. On the contrary, Nathaniel's father already concocted in his mind a way to make the young prince of Saizen forget the woman who gave birth to him to make his stay in the castle less painful after the gruesome death of his mother. Leilalí clings to her husband's arm and looks at him pleadingly, squeezes her spouse's hand, resigning herself to the death of her protégé; Although, at first, there was suspicion towards the young woman, the queen learned over time to get along with her and also to take care of little Nathaniel. After a while, she already considered her a daughter to herself, both her children.

And it wasn't that far from it. The young princess Say-Ka was just eighteen when she gave birth to the little boy. Her mind was still torturing her with the images of the girl when one afternoon of tea, the girl appeared in Zenian territory with her clothes torn, fleeing, and trying to hide the tremendous size of her companion.

King Bruno and his wife returned to Saizen for two weeks given the distance between the two kingdoms. Benhard, as always patiently awaited the return of both lords and the princess, but his confusion was that day, when he heard the news that stirred his heart.

Benhard left his kingdom being the same age as the princess, only eighteen years old, ten years later at the age of twenty-eight, hearing that his friend and secret lover had died, it killed a part of himself that he might never get back. The king approaches the boy and puts a hand on his shoulder, sadly looks at him and nods; even if the emperor never had an interest in taking her as his wife, the girl had undoubtedly earned his respect and she had also cared for his son all that time, she deserved mourning from him.

–You have to bury his memories. Replace them, you are the only one who can do it– he asks

–But, the young prince deserves to keep the memories of his mother– he replies

The king denies. –You will return them to him when he can tolerate the truth, for now, he's too young– he explains.

The man with ash-colored hair and bright yellow eyes stare back at him with nodding nodding.

Nobody forgot the princess. Only her own son forgot her.

• Fifth Elemental Kingdom> Passage of the Two Doors •

The banner advances relentlessly through the grotto that gives way to the great city of the last and peculiar elemental kingdom, where within it, the families survive the anarchy of the very guardian who protects the passage. The woman waits impatiently on the throne of her great temple, accompanied by her faithful minister Kebrid Seneca, who at her side keeps his gaze impassive towards the entrance; the streets of the city, desolate and hungry for the communities and families to return, have wreaked havoc in the country called “Diamantine”.

The cruel guardian, has destroyed the city and its people cut by cut, so much so that they have died or are slaves in their own isolated province of Fogos, Aras,Terra and Aqua, these mentioned, were the emissaries and protectors of this last kingdom; more from her domain and the barricade of diamond soldiers nobody could against her.

She rises from her throne and, dragging the imposing sleeves of her exquisite dress, goes towards the entrance of the temple. He goes down the steps, only to inspect that the diamond emissary raises the head of the purple-eyed young woman in his hand. She smirks and reaches out to him.

–I'm sorry, Your Most Pure Majesty. Her body does not hide the dagger– answers the general getting on his knees

Her eyes widen like a great moon and her mouth is pursed with great anger.

–HOW IS IT POSSIBLE? - she yells all over the place, biting the nail of her thumb

Undoubtedly, ten years, six months, fourteen days have passed since the theft of the dagger. Her fury was so great that she counted the years, months and days; But now she was in danger because all the accumulated power of the dagger was leaking from her having awakened the powerful and implacable diamond banner, so if someone wanted to attack her ...

–They have penetrated the two great doors! Is the commander of the unit of the empire of Fogos!– Kebrid has appeared behind her with a rather worried gesture

With a slap in the air, the diamond soldiers melt into the air, only her general, Kebrid and her remain in the city.

-Majesty! Won't you fight?– Kebrid is the first to question her action

With presumption and firm step she walks back to her throne in the temple. She laughs sarcastically at his words.

–Fight?– She says. –It would take the power I wasted to bring the diamond soldiers back to life, to extract the power back, it would take too long. The dagger was not found, you have failed me, but there will be time, no one, absolutely no one dares attack my authority– She assures

Both officials bow before her and wait for the irruption of the army of the neighboring kingdom. The woman smiles, thinking that, in the past ten years, her niece's offspring would already be walking in that world; she could find him.
