Sealing it

I woke up sometime around noon.

It took me more than five seconds to finally remember where I was and with it came the memories of what had happened yesterday and early morning.

The room I was in was dark and if not for the digital clock hanging at a corner of the room, I would have mistaken noon for night.

I gently got down from the bed making sure it was well arranged before putting my jacket that I had removed before back on. Taking a deep breath, I padded through the room, my empty feet absorbing all the warmth the soft rug gave me. I was more than tempted to drop down and run my hands through them but there were more important things.

I got to the door and then hesitated. My hands that were almost twisting the door knob dropped back to my side as I thought of how I was going to face Alec after sleeping in a house that may or may not be his; but the former sounded more feasible.
