Walking behind an alpha was not Rishio's cup of tea, but with the turn of events that had just occurred yey needed a step back in order to process everything so yey had no problem with walking at a slower pace than the alpha.
The echoes of the footsteps as they walked through the dominantly grey and pastel coloured hallway was not the most comforting sound, but it was punctuated by Ourine's skips as gur tried to keep up with the adults that eased Rishio's tension.
As they approached the Common Room, Rishio's heart beat decided to double making the, oh so familiar feeling of nervousness make a home at the bottom of yey'r stomach. Yey was not a fan of higher ups, omega and alpha alike so when Layieni opened a huge double metal door and signalled Rishio to enter the room revealed, yey could not help but get a little angry at the sight of the calm alpha,
How dare gur look so comfortable while I am drowning in my own anxiety, Rishio thought letting out a quiet huff.
The Common was big enough to fit the whole of Rishio's house and bar twice and still leave enough space for Ryok's beast pen. It was carved out of the Elder tree, it's walls were the trunk of it, it was decorated by treasures and old technology that was from the twenty first century and beyond as Rishio could easily see from its poor quality. Yey never understood why the higher ups loved surrounding themselves with the useless technology and artifacts from the centuries before. Those things were over thousands of years old and an excessive wastes of money according to yey'r and omega without a full-time job running a bar while raising an 'S' alpha, maybe it was a power play.
Getting into the room, Ourine unconsciously held on tighter to Rishio's hand after having the eyes of the omegas that was seated in the middle of the room turn to them as soon as the entered.
They must have been in a meeting, Rishio thought as yey met the eyes of the council reciprocating Ourine's hold to gur's hand but much gentler than the child's to offer some kind of comfort to gur.
Alpha Layieni went before them and stood at the end of the Council's table, with hands folded behind gur's back with gur's legs slightly apart, a sign of respect towards the older omegas, who responded with a nod to ease the alpha of formalities and give gur a chance to speak.
"I found these two trespassing through the North entrance." The alpha reported speaking about the omega and the child who were behind gur.
The Council which was only six omegas, each from every clan present in the village, turned to look at the trespassers clearly not alarmed by their presence.
"What do they want?" The omega at the other end of the table asked, as yey was seated at the head of the table, Rishio concluded that yey was the new Chief Omega.
With a small bow of gur's head to acknowledge the Chief Omega's question alpha Layieni replied,
"The omega's name is Rishio, yey claims to be an acquaintance of my alpha parent, alpha Ejana. Yey is here for a visit as yey claims." Rishio did not miss the hostile tone present in the alpha's voice but chose to ignore it .
"Well is yey?" One of the council members asked.
Alpha Layieni hesitated but the answered,
"Yes, yey is."
"Then take yey'r to your Alpha parent." The Chief Omega replied dismissively clearly done with the topic and ready to go back to what was being previously discussed by the Council.
"But my Chief, this omega might be a threat..." Alpha Layieni started, gur on the other part clearly not satisfied with the Chief's decision.
However gur's words were cut off by the Chief's tone when answering gur's concerns,
"Commander this is the sixth threat you have reported this week and when looked into it was nothing more than a false alarm. This omega clearly has been here before as yey knew where the hidden passage is and is no threat, besides what kind of threat comes in through the front door?"
The Chief Omega asked rhetorically.
"I beg to differ my Chief..." Alpha Layieni started but was immediately cut off by the Chief again.
"Take yey'r to your Fa, let them discuss what brought yey'r here and if the previous Commander sees yey'r as a threat, I will grant you permission for you to personally execute yey'r. Am I clear?" The Chief concluded leaving no room for discussion.
With a visible clench of gur's teeth, only available to Rishio, alpha Layieni agreed to the Chief's word, gur had no other choice. With another gesture of respect towards the Council, gur turned and headed back towards the door bumping into Rishio who just rolled yey'r eyes at gur's childish antics.
Rishio waited for a few seconds then turned to follow the alpha, but before yey made it out of the Common Room the Chief Omega called to yey'r,
" Number 15,"
This name made Rishio turn abruptly to the Chief clearly surprised yey'r knew yey'r by that name.
With a smile on yey'r face the Chief Omega continued,
"It is a pleasure to finally meet you."
That damn Teach, Rishio thought concluding that yey'r past Teacher was to blame for the revelation of yey'r past identity.
"Rishy, why does everyone here keep on calling you Number Fifteen?" Ourine inquired as they walked out of the Common Room towards the exit following the alpha who was few steps before them.
Rishio looked down at the child, smiled warmly at gur then answered,
"That is a story for another day."
Earning a huff from the child as fur was clearly not satisfied with the omega's answer but knew that gur would not get an answer at that moment anyway and chose to let it go, following the omega out of the room they were going to yey'r side where but seemed to prefer at that time.
*************************
Apparently the alpha was pissed ,again, at who knows what clearly seen by the stomps gur was taking as gur led Rishio to yey'r Teacher.
Seeing alpha Layieni huffing, puffing and stomping as gur walked was quite amusing to Rishio, but yey was sure to keep yey'r amusement to yeyrself.
Would not want to hurt the fragile creature would we now, Rishio reasoned with yeyrself while fighting the urge to snicker behind the angry alpha's back.
Looking down to check on the child, Rishio found Ourine fidgeting clearly something was bothering gur or someone.
"What is wrong with you?" Rishio asked the child, raising an eyebrow to Ourine's surprised to hear that gur has been found out. As if gur thought no one could see what was clear as day.
After swallowing a few times, gur looked up at Rishio and mumbled,
"... talk to gur."
"What?" Rishio asked lowering yey'r head near the child to try and capture what the child was saying.
"I SAID I WANT TO TALK TO GUR." The child replied, unnecessarily loud, making Rishio swiftly bring yey'r head back to try and protect yey'r ears.
"Who?" Rishio asked a little pissed at child's sudden shout, wanting to know the source of it.
Ourine discreetly pointed at the alpha before them, who was clearly eavesdropping on their conversation seen as how gur slowed a bit down in order to be within their earshot.
This amused Rishio greatly as yey let out a scoff at the alpha's terrible trial in pretending not to be interested in what and who they are talking about.
" I know." Rishio started giving the child a knowing look which the child returned with an incredulous and expectant look.
"But, the alpha seems not to be interested in me or you." Rishio said, a bit louder to ensure that the alpha infront of them clearly heard it.
Ourine deflated at this new information, of course the alpha would pay gur no mind, gur was just a brat and the human before them was a full grown alpha. Gur had no time to spare for fledgling alpha who has not yet gone through the Shedding, Ourine thought as gur bowed gur's head down feeling sadder than the day Rishio refused to let gur go to a friend's sleepover.
The said omega was looking at the child beside yey'r, not missing the way Ourine held yey'r hand even more tighter than gur was before, an action gur did unconsciously whenever gur felt sad, disappointed or hungry.
Rishio was sure it was not the last one.
Yey could not blame the child, for gur was an 'S' alpha and alpha children tended to get drawn to alphas of their same class, something to do with their biology which Rishio paid no mind to this because yey was sure that they would never run into one. Yey never liked to be proven wrong but life happens, right?
It worked the same way with the adult 'S' class alphas they had a tendancy of taking care of 'S' class alpha children even if they did not have a single drop of blood relation with them, as they were a scarce species their biology also drove them to do this.
That is why Rishio answered how yey did and could not help but smirk at the way the alpha's feathers were ruffled when gur had Ourine's disappointed sigh.
After a few more minutes of walking, the arrived at the base of a tree that was almost at the villages edge, looking up Rishio could see a house on top of the trees sturdy branches. A medium sized house, a grey roof sat on top of it, two windows which yey could see that seemed to be blocked by what Rishio assumed were curtains, the houses had no front door as an elevator that was in the tree's trunk led into the house, it seemed liked overkill to add a front door. The only doors that were present were those that led to the roof and balconies if Rishio's memories served yey'r right.
"You take the elevator it will take you into the house, the child and I will fly up and get in through the back door as the elevator cannot hold the weight of an adult omega, an alpha child and an adult alpha." Alpha Layieni said, looking away from the pair ,obviously not to be seen as gur made an excuse to try and cheer the child up.
Rishio snickered at the futile attempt to hide behind gur's helmet the alpha was doing but quickly went quiet when the alpha threw yey'r a menacing look and snarled at yey'r and which yey responded by raising yey'r hands as a sign of no I'll intentions towards gur.
Yey looked down at the child who was already looking up at yey'r , beaming with anticipation, begging yey'r with gur's eyes to let gur go with the alpha, Rishio swore yey heard gur let out a whine.
If those eyes get any bigger or brighter we would not need the sun anymore, Rishio thought as yey looked at the child.
"I agree to this." Rishio replied looking at the alpha,
"But if I arrive before the two of you." Rishio added as yey walked towards the alpha, standing before gur leaving a hair width of space between them in effort to intimidate gur which was not working as yey only reached up to gur's chest, and looked up at the alpha the finished,
" You and me are going to have a problem."
They stared into each other's eyes, each on of them challenging the other to break the contact first.
With another snarl hidden in gur's tone the alpha replied,
"I will do my best."
"Okay, bye now Rishy." Ourine said breaking the two of them from their contest by pushing the omega into the elevator and stepping out of it.
" But..." Rishio tried to talk but was cut off by the adult alpha,
" Bye Rishy." Gur said copying the child's nickname for the omega as gur pressed the button to take Rishio up to the house, gur's tone filled with smugness.
The last thing that Rishio saw was a smirking alpha and Ourine frantically waving bye at yey'r anticipating the flight that was to come.
The last thing that alpha Layieni saw was an angry omega, crossing yey'r arms as the elevator door closed before yey'r.
